Still trying to find some history from someone on this gentleman and his birds. He's in his late 70's says his birds were handed down to him from his dad and they come from the original Pensom 547 line. He told me that his dad and a guy I believe he said by the name of Bill Cook got there birds directly from Bill Pensom. A friend of mine birds come from this guy Doug Tharp although he has no peds on the birds and just a backyard flyer they are really nice rollers. I fly the Rubys yet from what I seen in the air from his birds they aren't bad at all! I spoke over the phone to Doug yesterday when he shared the backgound of his birds with me. I was telling my buddy he need to know the history and background of birds that he aquire if he's going to be serious about this hobby. I'm just the curious type and like to do the research and follow up. I also like to give people the benefit of the doubt especially someone as old as Doug is. I'm serious about this hobby and hope to compete one day soon! ---------- ~~~~~~Butch

Take the Man at His word. It won't change anything, You'll still have to fly enough of them and select a couple to start a family with and Your on Your way. No matter where You get them from or no matter who's name or ring numbers are included. If you get them from this years world cup champion,You would'nt be any closer. Its all down to You. Good luck.
