no iowa its pink sray.
If you have birds that have the same markings on them and you carnt tell witch one is doing what in the sky you spray abit on the wing on.
Then abit on the tail on the other and then when they roll you can say right it was the one with the spray on the tail that did that ect..ect..
so when it comes in you can go to thatbird and pick it out.
Its hard has it is trying to pick birds out the sky so when you have 3 blue oddsides or 6 blue grizzles try doing it then.LOL.
yours harrison uk.

Harrison, the rings are plastic snap on rings and are removable. I mark a cock with brown and a hen with purple. A ecxellent roller gets a red one. If you fly four kits its a excellent way to keep track of the birds. When it is breeding season i ring all my birds the same but put different colour rings for different rounds. It is very easy to track the rounds this way.

You are correct no "1" nicknamed ZORRO and number 9 is magpies.

I get you on the rings mate.
I also use clip on rings for my rounds of young and also .
par one have blue.
so there young get a blue one.
Pair two get a red one.
so there young get a red one and so on.
I do keep everything wrote down but it is easy to see by looking at them who bread what without getting on the laptop and pulling my notes up.
I was only having a laugth when I said about the rings.
They have a verry good purpose.
I no alot of people dont use them but they realy do help.
I dont have one bird without a ring on.
I carnt stand to see a bird with no ring.
It dont look right.
good look for 09 and keep them pictures coming. yors harrison uk

And on the other hand Harrison I ring two permanent rings one with my club details and year and the other with my name and tel number, 90% of do it that way here.

Some of us here still fly nominations were your club issues you with 25 rings and you are only allowed to fly those in a end year comp (AGM). You are allowed to cull and re-use them at the end of the year all the birds must have nomination rings to fly.
