I have a few Kiser birds, they are just like any others. Some come in at 5 or 6 months and some come in at 8 or 9 months. The more you fly them the better they will develop and come into the roll.
I have some that are just now coming into the roll but they were bred in middle of summer which did not give them a full year to fly. As most birds they do not get 12 months flying in one year if you lock down and most do in California.
If you do get some that take some time to roll, just keep flying them as they will eventually come into the roll. They are definately not like the Jaconettes that are easy to control and come in early. They too put out some stiff birds that do not roll until 8 to 12 months.
The kiser birds are prone to sky out on high pressure day so you need to have good control of the feed can when flying them.
I am not an expert on his birds. I've been flying them for only 1 year now and I really like the look of them. They are alot like Borges birds but Kiser birds are smaller birds. BIll C

the kiser birds i have had are late devolupers 9-12 months and like bill said they are a real strong pigeon long flyers and high flyers. I dont think they are a good bird for a beginer. one thing they have is real nice speed thats for sure. i feel that if a guy was to get them they would be a good cross on something with a jaccenet base to add frequenzy to the awsome speed they have. They are mostly a 272 based pigeon. Tim decker is useing the 272 bird for a cross and gettin good results

l.h.559..... I would think that you would talk to the person that you got these birds from. He would be the one most suited to answer any and all questions about them.... ---------- Fly High and Roll On

L.H.559, i was told if u got birds from anyone don't except them to perform as they have them cause the new owner managed them different and time or enviroment changes so always let the kit birds or their baby prove how they would do and always best to asked the owner how he managed his birds cause everyone does thing differently.

I.h.559,I'm a back ward flyer too but if you looking for roll that's a good thing but if your birds are going to fly for 4 hours and its ok for you .don't look for roll in them all the time because they sure be flying straight more than rolling because of the time spent in the sky..they will perform more for you with less time in the air.I learn that the hard way I use to fly high flyers for 5 hours before I learn about these rolling athletes.I fly mine 30 to 45 mins but one hour is good for you still...now with 4 kits flying one at a time with 1 hour each equals 4 hours that's another way of doing it and still get action..just a thought.. ---------- Ralph.

Lon her, Ralf is right and gave you good adivice. You will lose your birds to an overfly at the dop of a hat for flying birds 4 hours. No backyard flyer would do that with thier birds if they value them. Maybe you were just speaking figure atively or sarcasm, but it does show you need advice and if you want a positive responce you should think about what you are saying. You never have to agree but you asked the question here on this about how long it takes the Kiser birds to roll and would you like any other advice you got about them? Bill C

L.H.559,not to b mean but i'm new and i breed turners for 2years now and if ur birds flying that long u b lucky to see some tail riding most rollers will perform at the age of 6-9 months and some little later mine flys for 20min-45minutes and no more and work there way down when i whistle them down then i'll rest them of a while and then feed them 50/50 and the water adjust ur feed after u flown ur birds for a while and no show get a note book to keep note and when they started to come into the roll fly them everyother day
