cv rollers,i personally would put him to sleep cause that is so cruel and he's living a hard life if he walking on his wings only putting him to rest would out weigh the cruelty of him living but thats just my opinion

Need more info on this walking on wings. Are his stools runny? Is he lite even though he is eating? It could be something you need to treat all your birds for, like a 4n1 or a 5n1.JDA

Seriously, give it a big drink of water as soon as possible. Use an eye dropper or syringe if you have one if the bird won't drink on it's own. I had the same thing happen in the heat of the AZ summer last year. Little birds were eating but not getting enough water. Didn't take long and they were "lame" and couldn't walk. Saw a huge improvement right away with just water.

Has he been getting any SUNLIGHT? I bet this is the problem. As Starfire stated CALCIUM and putting him in the sun. You can go to a local drug store and get some calcium tabs break them in half and put it down the throat. Make sure the he swallows it. Or get rid of it. It is Very important that the birds are getting adequate sunlight or they will go weak on you. To make sure that this does not happen again I would feed them pellets especialyl if you breeding individually. I use Perina pellets in the green bag. Good luck

The birds eyes will be drooping if it is water that it needs, and all you have to do is push its beak into the water an it will start drinking on its own. JDA

I would go with the advice of those who said to cull it. Pararoller you are making me shed a tear. But you are right.
The thing to remeber CV is do you want a kit of 20 of them??? That is the best way to look at culling your birds. Do I want 20 of those problem birds. Even if he ends up OK down the road would you forget he had this problem and breed from it. Oops!

if and when the bird is hungry and if your feeding it, and if you can, try feeding it until it stands. youll need it to use its leg muscles! if the youngster doesnt use its leg muscles then it might grow cripple.
