Yes fou, this is open to all and families too. You could drive in each day or visit only on the auction day. But if you want to attend the dinner and bus ride to see birds fly you need to pre-register with Paul Fullerton. See the above NBRC Convention Tony has on here at the top of the page. You could also car pool with friends and drive around to see birds fly. Everyone will not be on the bus. More info will be in the NBRC Magazine if you get that one. It is a good place to read about rollers.
If you have a friend here in Sacto you can also stay with them at night and attend during the day. Bill C

Now that's some good information to know.
Bill you stated: "if you want to attend the dinner and bus ride to see birds fly you need to pre-register with Paul Fullerton."
QUESTION: In regards to the dinner+fly... roughly how much will this festivity cost?

I could be wrong but I believe you have to be a NBRC member to attend the Banquit and ride the bus. You can then invite guest(s). Bill/Paul could you check on the policy? ---------- "The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance -- it is the illusion of knowledge."

Any one can attend. They don't check your membership to the NBRC. If there is a fee you need to pay, just pay it such for the bus and banquette. You need to register with Paul for the head count so that they know how many attending and can plan for it and also make the name tags and such. For us who are coming from out of state, this journey is about $1000 just to have fun with friends. So, your cost is nowhere near that for some friendly atmosphere.

The real question is, if you want to go to the NBRC Convention, and enjoy all the fun and camaraderie, why aren't you a NBRC member???
If you can afford to keep rollers, then you can definitly afford $25 a year to support the club and become a NBRC member. I've been on the fence about this in the past, but I'm starting to lean toward the opinion that ONLY NBRC members, and their families, should be allowed to attend the NBRC Convention.

The last I asked (a few months ago), I didn't think anyone knew where the convention was going to be.
Where? When? (Sorry, I've been traveling a lot and out of the loop.)
Also, does anyone ride their bikes and follow the bus?

I would love to ride my Mongoose Mountain bike to specific designated sites during the NBRC Convention and flys in the Northern California Sacramento region.

Let me say again, "CLICK THE NBRC CONVENTION", above by the archives that Tony has put above all the post you read.
The cost of bus and banquent dinner is $10.00 you have to read it to see what day it is going to be. LOL You need to pre-registser with Paul Fullerton, see above. Look for the palm trees!
I will look into being a member, I dont know but it might be possible you have to be a memeber or be invited to dinner. You can still come and visit each day either way. You can also come bid on some really good birds for auction too.
The NBRC requires you to be a member to fly in the Fall fly and its a great magazine to read each month with top flyers scores, interviews and adds and articles. It is a large magazine for the cost. 80 ot 90 pages most of the time. Bill C

As for the convention being members only, why not use it as an opportunity to have a membership drive for those who are not members but attending? Use these new funds to help the NBRC defray convention costs? Setup a table and sign em up! ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria
