Welcome back STUDENT 2 THE GAME!

That's a splendid looking batch of young rollers you have there in the wired pen. Hope they work out well for you in the air as a team.

Just relax and enjoy them while they are young and in boot camp (training). Over the years I've discovered that the control a man has secured over his kit of young rolling pigeons... can sometimes outrun the control over himself. So please just relax and go with the flow.

Always keep this is mind:

The breeding, training and flying of rolling pigeons is a collective situation shared by thousands of us around the world.

....and

Though a birds magical essence exist within each individual in our lofts or breeding pens... we can never allow a true aerial performers imperfection to negatively inhibit our "Ornithological Genius".

They look pretty good Larry. I think you will have fun with them. You will have more in no time. It can be hard to see good looks in young birds but from what I can see, they look as good as any.

They look like a perfect age for training. Good luck with them. Keep them hungry their first day out. You will have more to train soon. BIll C

Thanks Bill , The first day out for area free fly they where twisting and tail setting then flying real fast and crazy . They never did get any height to them , real low , Im gonna start adding them slowly to some young 08 birds that are kitting and doing a lil rolling for them to learn .

The fast and crazy flying problably was because they got spooked by a hawk. It will take them about 10 to 12 days to start kitting good and with each day you will see improvements. Its good they did not get too much height to them on the first day out. You want them close to home. I never let out squeaker kits if there is wind. In summer I let them out in the heat of the day the first time out so they will not want to fly for an hour. My birds can go pretty high the first time out, at least some of them do. But most will be above the trees flying around in circles too.

I'm glad you got your birds out all ready to fly. That was always the stressful part for me to get them flying with out losing them the first day out. Now I have much better experience on what age to train and how to release them with good control.

Now I really want to come see your breeders after seeing your young birds. BIll C
