Brian's son Justin was in a bad car accident today, So if we can all say a prayer for him and his family in this time of need.

Thanks everyone for your prayers. i'm sitting on a plane enroute to boise. God answered our prayers and he made it through the night and is stable. he has major chest trama and a fractured spine among other less critical issues. he's a fighter. every rib is shattered and they punctured several organs, most his lungs which are collapsed. a ventilator into his chest is what is keeping him with us. he took eight liters of blod last night because of the internal bleeding. now that they have it under control he is going into spine surgery at 3pm. once his spine is addressed they will go back into the chest and try to deal with those issues. thank you all for asking our lord to give my son strength. I believe he listened though there is much to endure over the next few days. the biggest concern at the moment is paralysis and how bad. that has me pretty rattled. thanks again. prayer does work.

Theres a certain helpless feeling when a family member is in that position, but remember the Lord is with you and your family always. Best wishes and all our prayers are with you.

Brian I couldn't sleep last night praying all night with this in my subconscious maybe fell out about 6 AM when a voice said to me your son is going to be ok and something like your son said he wants ice cream some crazy sh$$ like this and I remember my last words before falling to sleep again was Thank You Father..
it was a relief I tell you we will continue to keep him in prayers ..take care bro..

hey guys... any word on his progress ? I`ve been checking this thread a couple times a day . I cant help wondering how he`s doing. Brian, I hope you are holding up well. Remember there are a lot of prayers and well wishes going out to you right now.
Its a tribute to the greatness of this hobby, that so many, whom dont even know Brian or his family are watching and praying for him and his family.

Thanks for the well wishes and prayers. The boys are still with us. The spine surgery was successful. They fused six vertebrae. He can move his legs, though it is painful. The internal bleeding has slowed but hasn't stopped. They are still having to keep suction tubes in his lungs and back. He required three more liters of blood last night to keep up. I think that is ll liters so far. Hopefully no more. His lungs are hammered and he is a lot of pain, even with the morphine drip. The ribs will just have to heal on their own I guess. There are a lot of other issues they are trying to stay on top of but overall it seems he is heading in the right direction which is what we want. His cousin is still in an induced coma. His broken back was fixed and the doctors said it was a miracle that they discovered his spinal cord was still in tact. While Justin took the trama to the chest, Andrew took it to the head. Not good. But thanks to everyone thinking of them in one way or another I believe both boys are here with us today because of the thoughts and prayers of others. I'll be staying here at the hospital longer than I thought I would, but I think we are heading in the right direction. God has plans for these two boys.

Brian good to hear this .how old are these boys ? I ask because the body heals much quicker on young people than older adults...we keep them and you in prayers,,

I sure am glad there are people who take a few minutes from there busy schedules and DONATE BLOOD.
I work at the health department and I am proud to say I Donate Blood whenever there is a Blood drive.

I am truely moved by the out pouring of love and prayer I have seen generated by this post. Jesus said in John 13:34 "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another".
There are a lot of heated discussions on this site, but when the a roller man has a need his brothers in kind come forth with the best answer to all our needs PRAYER. Amen

Thanks for the support fellas. Things are moving along pretty well. My son will probably be moved from ICU to the neurology wing tomorrow. They are going to try standing and walking trials tomorrow. He's improving greatly each day and the doctors are impressed. His cousin is being routinely stimulated to come out of his coma and is showing some good progress too. He's got a much longer recovery but we are here supporting them 24 hours a day.
