I dont think you done anything wrong Mario. My opinion is you nailed with the title of your post. Bad luck.
We never know for sure whats going to happen when we release the kit. We just have to hope for the best. It is what it is....
Oh ya. Hopefully you get some more back today.

Mario That is the reason I never take my eyes off my birds one minute they there in front of you and the next minute they are gone .the BOP must have came by so fast and spook them .I hope you get back your birds sorry about the one with the cat ..I clean my cages when they come down but I have a pen that they go to and wait while I clean,,but like you said there is bad luck and you can't do nothing about it..hoping that you get nothing but good luck this time.

mARIO i WOULD HAVE TO AGREE WITH PR AND THAT A BOP MUST OF FLEW THROUGH THE KIT WHILE YOU WERE NOT WATCHING THEM AND SPOOKED THEM UP. i AM CURRENTLY TRYING TO HOME SOME OF MY FRIENDS BIRDS THAT WERE GIVEN TO ME THE SAME WAY YOU DID. i HAVE NOT LET THEM OUT YET BUT WHEN I DO I USUALLY DO NOT SCARE THEM UP RIGHT AWAY, INSTEAD I OPEN UP THE KIT BOX AND LET THEM FLY AROUND THE YARD AT FIRST BEFORE SCARING THEM UP. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU IN THE FUTURE MARIO. GOOD LUCK

Around here we have falcons passing through and they can chase the birds up high and scatter them quite a bit. The coopers are usaully lower to the loft and want to surpise them. Rollers will fly above the coopers most of the time. So depending on where you live it was most likey a falcon. They are on the move right now migrating north.

By the way have you seen those Nitro planes on here above the list. Its an advertisement for flying planes. I bet those would work to chase the BOP away. I saw some jets with remotes in a football feild that really flew fast and high up to 300 to 400 feet. I bet if you had a remote control plane or jet it would help out. I plan to get one when my boys are old enough to learn to control it since I am too old to learn a new trick. Bill C
