Hey list,

Do any of you have any of Ricks birds? I'm just looking for some info on this strain of birds. Any and all comments would be appreciated.

Thanks
JD

Yea truword1, I dont have any of Ricks birds in specific, However I started my family off some birds from him. Thease were English Based birds I obtained in 97 or so from a good friend Rex in northern calif.Rick is a Great Rollerman and helped me alot with questions I had on the originals. He is a prettie open guy and is willing to give help. Good luck.

A few years ago I judged his region when he was in Montana, he flew a very nice team of birds.

Scott,
Ricks moving back to Montana, the desk job out here is not for him.

In the short time Rick has been here,he has helped us by raising the bar.I wish him all the best with his return to Montana. He is a True rollerman and always willing to help.

I was talking with Rich Hayes last week and he couldn't be happier his good friend and competitor is returning....seriously, these guys are two of the finest.....Aloha,Todd

Yea a desk job can really break the outdoorman, I speak from experience..LOL I had the oppurtunity to work with a firecrew last season outta Lava National Park, they were a great group of firefighters, and we spent quit abit of time togeather. I have applyed to positions in Hawaii and if I get the right offer at the right time im "Wheels Up" always wanted to work there, not to mention im a Beach Babbie and I love the ocean...Hope all works out well for Rick and maby Ill pay those guys in Montana a visit this summer....

JD,
You might find the last post of mine in the thread, "Second Thanks to Cliff Ball", interesting to you. It's about a bird that I got from Rick.

I have some birds down from Ricks blood. His birds are capable of high velocity, good quality spinning. They are in general clean and smooth in the roll. He has been breeding his family for a long time, 20 + years. They are an English based bloodline from a couple different sources. Ask Rick, he is a great guy and open with information. There are a few guys whose lofts are built from Ricks blood in Montana.
