The sheldon feed store in Elk Grove sells them. They carry two kinds I think. I have bought the austrian peas from them.

I had also bought some from Peaceful Valley Farm supply in Grass Valley. They are an orgainic only farm supply and they do not treat their grain with chemicals. Its all organic. I might check and see if they sell red wheat also. they sell grain for cover corp and growing corps but i have bought it and fed it to my birds from them.

If Sheldon does not have any you can order them from the warehouse behind the bird shop on Auburn Blvd. She will order anything we want. Let me know if you cannot find any and I can give you her number to order some.

Some of these local feed stores in Sac area (the one on greenback ) has had grain that was peed on by rats or mice. I took some bags back to them. Several of them have grain that they have not sold in a long time. 1 or 1 1/2 years and they are full of bugs. THey have to move the grain fast or the bug hatch in the graind and I just dont like seeing all those moths and bugs flying out of a sac of feed when you open it.

The sheldon feed store is very clean. BIll C

In Rio Linda there is a large feed store that has feed mixes for pigeons; single feeds to include peas. What they don't carry they can order and will have it within three days. They use Winner Cup who I still feel has the best pigeon feeds and grain in the world.

I don't remember the address, but it is on a main road in Rio Linda.

I mostly shop for my feeds at river valley or bradshaw. River valley they will order for u the peas. you name it they will order it for u. They do not have it in store. Bradshaw is the same too. I went to both of them last month. Bradshaw can only order u canadian peas (trapper peas), vetch peas, and maple peas. They cannot do austrian peas. I have the lady at the bradshaw feedstore show me the list. Nothin of the sort of austrian or austria peas. She can only order vetch, canadian, or maple. takes about a week to arrive also. Hope that helps.

Bill do u mind sharing the address of the shelon and grass valley feed store. I would like to check them out.

Hi Kham, the Sheldon feed store is on 8928 Grant Line Road, Elk Grove, 95608. I put the zip so you could google a map. Their phone is 686-6400. Most feed stores will order anything you want if they do not carry it. But shop for prices first.

Hi Marcus, I think I paid around $30 for a 25 pound bag or mabe it was 50? Bill C

Paul, I can only get to your place in 20 minutes if I drive a 110 miles per hour. LOL You are more like 10 minutes from the air port. I think best I could do and be legal is around 35 minutes. It can take 10 to 15 minutes just to get to the freeway. LOL

After the last time you and Joe Urban were in my car, I dont think you would want me to drive 110 miles an hour. Bill C

Hi Bill...

I assume you live up near the Sacramento Valley region and was just wondering have you ever been to Cache Creek Casino?

Talk to you later...

Hi Marcus, I live in Sacto city limit, I grew up in Esparto so did Paul Fullerton. Its a great small town. 2000 people and 150 in my high school all four grades.

I have not ever been to the Casino. I am in Esparto every month or more because my Mother lives there and I go out to do yard work and help her out around the house and visit.

I have a sister that works at the Casino, they like hiring the locals so the town does not complain of having a free-way through town. Its just not the same out there. It is bumper to bumper cars through Madison, Esparto and Caypay. (Esparto is 3 miles away) All three small towns. If you drive further up HWY 16 you will pass through brooks, Guinda and Rumsey even smaller towns. Then your off to Clear Lake or you could go to the nudest camp called Wilbur spirngs and then onto Stoney Ford. To Make a long story short LOL! I do not gamble but I should go there for dinner sometime. Bill C

Hey Marcus I just thought of something I would like to tell you guys. No insult is inteded. Just the truth.

Gambling is fun and exciting. But it is a losing situation. If you can afford to have fun and lose money that fast your better off then myself. LOL

The Casinos work on a ration of 60 to 40 in most all the games that are played. That is 60% you lose and 40% you win. You dont win alot just $20 here and $50 there. But the more you play the more you lose so in the end of the night you keep playing you keep losing more and more but slowly so they dont notice it as much. Sure someone wins $5000.00 or $10,000.00 but they took in about $200,000.00 or more by the time someone wins that much. Also the 40% you keep winning and put back into the slots or what ever your playing, by the time your ready to leave you have put that back in also so they get 100% of your money most of the time.

The California lottery is done the same way to give you a few winning tickets with $2 back or $10 back but guess what, they use those to buy more tickets. The state lottry is a free tax. You pay taxes free to the state when you play. Why do that. Millions of people will pay their whole life paying taxes for nothing. I use to play when I was younger but now I have two boys to raise and any extra money goes on DS games, clothes and sports. Now if I was Rich, I wouldnt need to gamble would I. LOL Bill C

Good morning Bill.....

I have driven through Esparto and Capay.

Bought gasoline in one of those towns... however... just can't remember exactly which one it was though.

{P.S.} Rich people gamble too you know. I really like to play that Fantasy 5 California Lottery game. It's a lot of fun! They say it's "The Better Odds Lotto Game".

....well anyway

Odds in winning Fantasy 5 Jackpot is 1 in 575,757

Heck... I can count that high!
he...he...he...he...

I dont want to encourage you but if your playing the numbers in Lottos. It is wise not to play the same numbers that came up the last two weeks and the last week for sure. Or the last winning numbers. In other words the odds of all the same number comming up twice is far greater odds than being struck by lightning. Even though say 13 does come up twice once in a while they never have come up the same numbers from one week to the next. That would reduce your odds by 5 or 6 numbers to play and increase your odds just a little better toward your side. Now back to those rollers.
I gamble on messing with the feed in the past and now I do not try to gamble with the birds but be consisitant, break down, rest and feed up just a tab for the fly. Bill
