I have had very good luck with the Ruby Rollers I have. My Ruby Breeders have 05, 06 & 07 bands. I have 2 lines of birds that I keep pure & I cross some. So I fly pure Rubys, my other line & crosses in my A Team. My birds have a ways to go but I like what I am getting, they get better all the time. In the LA area it is very hard to move forward very fast because of all the BOP in the area. I lost over a 100 birds last year, even with locking then down off and on & 4 months of winter not flying.

Chad, I posted but was caught up in the server snafu so I'll post again. I've been flying Ruby's for five seasons and after choosing one pair from my test pairs through breeding and flying out their young I now have only the prodgy from that pair and a mating from another hen that was closely related but not the same as the first hen (foundation hen). All three birds have the blood of 644D and 620 in them. I chose my foundation from the air and am producing birds with good form and easy management qualities. The young have progressed getting better each year and I am satisfied with my program. I received good stock to work with and now it's up to me to improve them or destroy them with bad selection or mismanagement. It's not about the pedigrees, it's about performance, and Tony's birds are a proper start. Thom
