Otis, you come across very hot-headed when it comes to defending Dave, why so much interest? Otis, have you noted the link at the top of all my webpages? The one that says: NBRC CONVENTION? Have you clicked on it and read the info there?
To respond to your rant, let me start here, I sent this to Dave.
"when I was asked to help, I put up an advertisement for the convention in a prime location on the forums main page and it ran all by itself for a few weeks. I happen to know that that ad space IS VERY valuable to me and I dedicated it ALL to the advertisement of the convention.
The ad has evolved into a link on the sites main index menu and is available at the top of ALL the pages. As a part of this, I provided a page for more information which includes an email address to contact Paul Fullerton as well as useful links."END
Also, I spoke with Paul Fullerton before anything even got started on the planning of the convention and he told me not to advertise the auction on the site, I guess cause he knows I make my living and as a friend, he understood the possible consequences and said not to, I had no problem agreeing to that.
Later after being contacted by Dave, I copied him an email I sent to Dave regarding this matter and I will let Paul comment as to what he thinks of the situation when he is ready.
As for banning Dave, I banned Dave because I dislike him (I am sure he dislikes me) and was tired going round and round with him. I told him he might find a better-fit elsewhere. Not because of his post. Here is a portion of the actual email I sent to him after I removed it, pretty nice I thought:
"Dave, I removed your post regarding the auction the NBRC is sponsoring. Unfortunately, it puts the auction in direct conflict with our roller sales efforts, as this is our primary source of income for RPDC I felt this was neccesary.
To show our support for the NBRC, we have now, for several weeks, displayed an ad for the upcoming convention and that ad has evolved it into a link in our site index, readily accessible to any whom are interested. Please feel free to contact me directly if you wish to discuss this further. Thank You!"
He then proceeded to attack me in a similar vein as you and make accusations offensive to me. I don't have to put up with that crap. Perhaps this will help set the record straight so people know the other side.

Hi Tony you forgot one thing- COMMON SENSE- unfortunatly there is no course in this. I do not know how you put up with some of these people. Keep up the good work as it is a great site . all the best Bob in Ontario

Wow I just got on what did I miss....whats wrong with you guys don't you people have respect for others..your not only lacking common sense a rare commodity these days to some but you also lacking respect. If you don't like the F...g guy why you in here everyday reading in his site.. if I don't like you I would never be caught anywhere near you.cause I'm crazy like that...there is only one reason I can think of and that is Jealousy ..what he got you want.If you don't like this joint than move on don't let the man get rid of you..that's what I'm talking about respect..If you ain't got it for your self you ain't got it for nobody.. Period..

Tony, My recent request for an explanation was not vile, harsh nor confrontational in the least bit. I don't operate like that. I had only asked for a clarification as the whereabouts of a contributor and in return I received your proverbial third degree and a blatant censor of my written word.(As I'm sure this will) I am well aware of the business factor this site affords you and it's acute importance to your livelihood and wish you extreme success in same. If you wish to enlist uninformed wipes like Ralph to spread banal conjecture, be my guest. Also If you contend and wish to believe my initial post was inflaming so be it, your censorius path will have no end until all are eliminated that dare ask questions of your methods.What's the paranoia for? Frankly, it's your site and you can twist the truth as you wish, I never expect democratic approaches to work in the business world. All you had to tell me is that you banned someone because you don't like them. I can handle that. I hope you become a millionaire selling Ruby rollers, despite the NBRC and their auctions! Otis

Otis, what, no sincere acknowledgment of the positive effort I have made on behalf of the convention? You wanna act like your query was so innocent and nice? Just like the above comments? Yeah, right! I don't have time for trolls anymore. Go find another place to type your vitriol.

I am out of the Country for a week and I miss all this...ok...I will Nip this in the ASS right now.
I am the chairman of the NBRC convention held in Sacramento....I am also the regional 9B director. I am finding that planning this convention is a lot of work..especially preparing for a big fly right in the middle. I am getting help from the great fliers in Sacramento.....and I hope you all come and enjoy the convention.
Now...when we took on the convention in Sacramento...we had a very short amount of time to plan the convention. i know that this site has ALOT of traffic and I wanted to see if Tony would allow us to advertise the convention on this site. He said no problem.....We sent email back and fourth as I had information to post....the information was mainly to let people know the dates...time and location..and Tony did a fine job putting it on his site.
As far as the NBRC auction....I told Tony...I repeat....I told Tony not to post any auction information that it was not needed and out of respect and COMMON SENSE....I did not want to ruin any sales of his birds over NBRC auction birds....EVERYONE that is a member of the NBRC knows there is an auction..it is in the bulletins...and on the web site....and word of mouth is just fine too.....so...to make a long story short...Sacramento is hosting....and I am running it....so NOBODY has a right to jump on Tonys ass at all..jump on mine...but then I will tell you to pound sand....and when you host a convention and decide to chair it..then you can run it the way you want.
So..to make a short story long....I would like to THANK Tony for posting the information on the site....it took the NBRC a month later to get the information posted on there site and they are the ones sponsoring it....Tony had it up in one day after getting the information. So THANK YOU TONY>>>>>.....He did not have to post anything....but he did...and as far as birds...Tony has donated birds to auctions and he donated to our NCRC auction.....so again Thanks....well..I hope I took care of the rumors....so...any information or suggestions....complaints...input..or what have you...concerning the NBRC Convention....feel free to contact me.....To be honest Tony is just a messenger...and you dont shoot the messenger....
