We stocked our first home grown bird this week, a nice little red hen a 06 hatch, I dont know how she made it we thought we had no surviving 06 birds after last season, and only 4 or 5 07 hatch’s, and a few un-flown 08, we notice this hen in our make shift 09 kit just putting on a show for the last 30 days, when we tracked her down we were shocked to discover her to be the first squeaker banded in 06, now that is one lucky bird, and even more luck we have flown all of late March and most of April, and no hits from the BOP the kit is rolling Eggs are hatching Life Is Good

Good Question, my fly partner and I watcher her very closely as she was our fist hatch after getting back into birds after 15 years, but after a BOP attack she did not trap in around 6/08 and we just counted her eaten or lost, was it an oversight, or did she return un noticed and was in lock down from 8/08 to 3 /09, or did she return after seeing the kit in 09 from a local loft she may have strayed into guess we will never know.
