I work in a building of 34 floors that houses 15000 people. What are the chances that some visited Mexico in the last couple of months (lol). It is what it is.

My mom was telling me yesterday that few are leaving their houses down in Mexico where she lives, everything involving groups of people has been canceled. Here is one that most aren't aware of, Canada has closed off it's borders to anyone returning from Mexico, including their own citizens, never heard that on the news did ya ? hmmm go figure. A little common sence and putting their country first and not politics, here in the good Ol USA (are we still allowed to say that ?) it is only a dream of once upon a time, instead Obama will probaly aologize for some here suggesting to do the same, after all he doesn't want to affend all of those future socialists. ---------- Just my Opinion Scott

Reality Check:
(CNN) -- There had been no confirmed deaths in the United States related to swine flu as of Tuesday afternoon. But another virus had killed thousands of people since January and is expected to keep killing hundreds of people every week for the rest of the year. People are nervous about swine flu, but the regular flu kills 36,000 people a year in the United States.
That one? The regular flu.
An outbreak of swine flu that is suspected in more than 150 deaths in Mexico and has sickened dozens of people in the United States and elsewhere has grabbed the attention of a nervous public and of medical officials worried the strain will continue to mutate and spread.
Experts are nervous that, as a new strain, the swine flu will be harder to stop because there aren't any vaccines to fight it.
But even if there are swine-flu deaths outside Mexico -- and medical experts say there very well may be -- the virus would have a long way to go to match the roughly 36,000 deaths that seasonal influenza causes in the United States each year.
"That happens on an annual basis," Dr. Brian Currie said Tuesday. Currie is vice president and medical director at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York. ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

Tony Im with you on this one.I cant believe how scared people are of this swine flu. But if there were people droping by the thousands a day or week that would be a reason to get scared. In Mexico they dont have the medical care we have here in the US and only 150 deaths.More people die there from treatable illness. Dose any one remember what happened in Southern California with END? How about mad cow Disease?

We get updates at the Fire Department from Sacramento EMS as well as the CDC....basically...if you are a healthy adult and go to the doctor when you get signs and symptoms you should be AOK....Tony is right....this is just like the other "flu" scare in the past....
We must remember that the outbreaks with all the deaths are from 3rd world countries.....and Medical care is one of the issues.....Not having medications to treat....or the fact that some people could be poor and not seek medical attention until it is tooooo late or ignore the signs from lack of knowledge of the flu.
SO...to make a long story short....unless you are traveling to an area like Mexico City....then use precautions....other then that..I would not worry to much about it....you feel flu like symptoms
go to the Doctor!!

As pigeon guys we might have a bit more immunity than the average guy due to our exposure to pigeons. We know pigeons can be carriers but not actually die from the virus. Another virus that has killed thousands if not millions world wide and is always fatal ........ AIDS. Seems we dont hear too much about that one anymore either. The media would rather focus on something they can sensationalize rather than just report the facts. Now thanks to the left wing media idiots a lot of money will have to be spent to reschedule the vast number of sports activities that were postponed and cancelled. OT pay for the school employees that disinfected the school building in certain districts. Cancelled conventions, nonrefundable motel and airline deposits and such are going to take more of a toll on our economy than the flu. Can I get a big thank you for the Obama administration...........? Didnt think so. T,I told a friend of mine the same thing Saturday about the "regular" flu. ---------- V99 blue sky single beat in cadance performing now earth beckons the winged drawn breath is let quickly forth orchestral movement follows
