Flew both kits today, mine flew and then trapped in, and then my sons fireballs were next. About 10 minutes into his birds flying, here comes Mr Coopers hawk!

Scattered all of the songbirds in the pine trees next to my house, then next thing I know it circled around and came in after the fireballs...they scattered, and the hawk just kept right on going, landed in the pines and never made another attempt.

We put up the owl decoy and never did see the coopers come back around at all. His birds flew for another 15-20 minutes and then came down and trapped in.

No casualties today....anyone else seeing BOP's still?

It has worked for me so far Big Willy. I only put it up when we fly, and always move it to a different spot. Today we didn't put it up at first but as soon as we saw the coopers move in, we put it up and didn't see him anymore after that. He flew right through the kit of my sons fireballs, but they saw him coming and scattered. I aint gonna swear by it man, but I am gonna keep it up as long as it is working.

Mr. Cooper dropped by yesterday. Too late for lunch and too early for dinner. So today, they rest, tomorrow they fly. So far it's B.O.P. nothing and roller's 100%. I'm hoping for a winning streak!

hey guys, one of my birds didnt come home yesterday, and so I went to school today and saw some of it's flight feathers on the grass...there wasnt any blood on it and that was all the feathers that was found.
somehow the feathers looked like it's been cut or break in half...like the flight feathers didnt have the part that goes into the wing...
What could it be? ever find the left over?

Flew my A-kit for the last time last night, before my WC fly on Sunday. Haven't seen a coop in weeks till they were coming in at the end of their fly. Here she came, made one pass then another and my birds went straight up. She gave up and went her way, I thought. Waited about an hour and let my YBs out, 25 of them. She came right through the middle of them and disappeared for a few min, I new that she was gonna circle the block and make a sneak attack. Luckily, the YBs were quick to trap when I fed, they were in as soon as I set the feed down and stepped back. Sure enough, bout 5 min later, I noticed all the wild birds were quiet and there she was!

I was glad she didn't get one, hopefully she will pass on before Sunday! That bitch screwed up my plans for working my YBs this weekend though.

Pat,

Sorry to hear that man. We flew both kits again today and didn't see any hawks. Is it that same one that has been giving you problems earlier this year? I lost a 09 hatch young bird a few days ago.
