Cull it cv... you don't want to waste all your time nursing the weak. separate that pair and move on.

cv, I have to agree with rollerronnie and Sal, do yourself and your breeding program a favor and remove the bird. If the pairings are not working to produce healthy young, don't bother pairing them anymore. Good luck!

At the begining of the year I had a pair single raise.
When the young started getting his feathers he lookd realy tatty and I also noticed that he was always resting on his wings (LIKE HE WAS USING HIS WINGS AS LEGS) I holded out with him and in the end found him dead .
So my advice would be to cull him as he will never be right even if he does make it.
yours in roll harrison uk hull.
Ps here is a picture of him.

I thought that it was somthing to do with his pairents as every time they raised a young last year they would end up dying around the same age.
I thought I would give them one last chance and this is what I got.

So dont think its the pairents and splitt them without giving them a second shot.
GOOD LOOK.

If you have to ask yourself weather or not to cull, you should probably cull. Time is valuable

Hi 530.
What I would do is if the pigeons in question are verry good then just continue with what you are doing.
If you are anything like me then it would get on my nerves everytime I looked at them?.
But if they can roll then that would make up for it.I dont no were web feet comes from?
Someone said close breeding but I dont have this problem and I put son to mam ect...
If I had hunting dogs for exsample and one of them had a strange foot but he was one of the best hunting dogs around I wouldnt put him down.
So I would say the same goes for the pigeons?
Good look mate and I hope you do well.

Same here.
My friend who I got my stock from use to keep racing pigeons but got his grandaughter some roller that he kept in a rabbit hutch.
He had 4 pairs and over the last 6 years he has given up racing pigeons and stuck with the rollers.
For 6 years he hasnt brought 1 single pigeon into his loft.
I have around 60 birds.
he has around 100.
And an old man has around 100.
Plus the once that we have moved on here and there.
So remember this is all out of 4 pairs and to this day there has never been a freak pigeon born.
I would say the familey of birds we have are close so I dont understand were the freaks come from?
Yours in roll harrison uk hull.
