I'm new to the hobby, and noticed yesterday I have 2 of my 12 birds that are "fluffed" out all the time, lethargic and eating very little if at all. These are young birds, I feed Nutriblend Green/gold, clean loft and they have been with me for about a week. Any ideas on what I should treat for, and should I treat just the 2 birds or all 12?
Thanks, mb5322 Matt

Matt, first thing you should do is to separate these 2 birds from the others. I would put them on 4in1 powder or pills. I would also use the ProVital Boost to supplement their diet.
Or, to save some money, go to your local feed store and pickup a bottle of Sulmet (about $10 to $15) and add to the water and then give them yogurt with the pro biotic added to it and mix with the water. This could do the trick and save you some money. Good luck.

With my young birds I always leave them in the breeders maybe longer then I should. The reason I do this is bcause I like to be 100% sure they are feeding themselfs before I remove them. Last year as soon as they would come down from the nest onto the floor and had feathers under there wing they would be moved out. I did have a few go lite on me when I did it like this and had to cull them but this year doing it the way I have they are great. Good look. Yours in roll harrison uk hull.

I'm sorry when I say young I mean "pre-adult" full feathered and a month or more out from being with parents.

I've pulled these two and have started them on a pro-biotic and started them on apple cidar vinegar ( 1 table spoon per gallon) and they are living in my bedroom until I can treat the entire loft (much to the wifes dismay). I bought this to base treat the loft with :http://www.foyspigeonsupplies.com/catalog/1315.html
Any thoughts on this med?
