The pigeon that started that line was bred by Leonard Kahut of Portland, OR. Leonard won the California Classic with a red check hen, I believe it was a daughter or possibly the mother to his CA Classic winner that Jerry got and started the white heat line. Byron Gable bought this bird from Kahut and I got to handle her when Byron lived in WA.

I got my first pair of White Heat from Leonard Kahut in 1996. Came in at the right time when he was still flying some of the best birds around before the big H problem. These birds are hot. All my white heat are from Leonard and Bill S. Leonard, still have acouple of pair left.
Victor, why do you want these white heat so much? Their just like any other family of rollers.
Their is a very old pair of white heat right now in Sac. Might be one of the oldest pair from all the white heat since 1996. I just give it to my friend last year for breeding. My buddie is lost in all the birds he has so let me talk to him if he will give it up. This pair is still laying but really old. If you can wait until the convention if not give me your email and you can contact my buddie personally.

Victor, you need to be careful of who you buy birds from. I would suggest you see them fly before you buy, all bloodlines throw garbage some more than others. Iregardless of the bloodline. I would lean more towards Abel a little more as he will put them up for you on any given day. Good luck...

Andy, I did not mean that towards you or anybody on this list in general. Just trying to give sound advice. You do not have to be a big name to have good birds. Good luck! ---------- Sal Ortiz

I don't know this person but let see if any of the older member hear can help us out... I was told Bill Shrieber got his birds from Ed Burnerking. I'm not sure if I spelled it right... That is where the white heat family came from...

----------I got 3 pair of white heat from Leonard just a couple of years ago before he moved to his present location. I went to his loft...I flew these birds hard and their young hard for two years and I am sorry..I bird dogged them. No spin and you had to beat the roof to get them to fly. I am sure that "in the day" Leonard had them smoking as I have seen the many trophys in his house..I have spoken to him several times..very fine man..I just could not get anything out of his birds..at the time, he was very very into racing homers...still is to my understanding, but may be back into a few rollers.
