Hey All, I have been using a folding wall feeder for about six months. It keeps the feed off of the ground and is easy to construct. The tray is removable for cleaning and the system can be built around any size tray. Her are a few pictures in it's different configurations. 1. Picture is with tray folded up for storage. 2. Picture is folded down, tray removed for cleaning. 3. Picture is tray in place ready for feed. 4. Picture is with old hens feeding.

rookie, I use a bar style perch for support when it is down. If the hinge is on top like mine and tight to the wall it would support it's self, or you could use a support leg if needed.

Great idea Thom, it would cut down on bending over for people with bad / sore backs.
"Squabby" What does ATAPWGIYAHTLY stand for?

Hey All, I'm glad my project has some merit. I never explained the reasons I devised the wall feeder. I live in a small community (The Burbs) :) Grass and trees abound, and mice! I was feeding on pans at floor level but because of my fear of mouse droppings, I would clean up every evening. This made twice a day I was cleaning my loft floors, a bit much even for an O.C.D like me! So..... The pan has sides just high enough to keep any feed from being ejected in the frenzy. Afterwards I fold it up and it becomes an auxiliary perch. No feed on the floor and it's easy to clean. It also is a very easy build, mostly from scrap and can be framed around any size pan. Good luck with yours and if anyone has questions, please ask! :)

Hi Jerry, ATAPWGIYAHTLY stands for All Things Are Possible With God If You Allow Him To Lead You. Those letters are the first letter of each word of that sentence. Glad you asked and have a good day.

I can't really tell Thom, do the birds stand on top their feed while eating? are they walking around on their feed pan? ---------- Lew

Interesting way of feeding! That is the good part of the internet offers. About the time you feel you have the near perfect set up for your loft and kit boxes you see something out there that may prove better then what you are doing! Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your next fly! Don M. Mac's Rollers LVRC

Lew, Yes, I only allow them to have one half of their feed ration at a time. I feed late morning and early evening. The only birds I leave feed in front of all the time are my breeders and I feed them with a container system. I clean the tray everyday so the feed is clean and none is left over.

Hey Don, This one I thunked up on my own but most of my setup comes from borrowed ideas. There is always room for improvement. :) Thom

That's what happens when you give an old jarhead pigeons and too much time on his hands. Good idea Thom!

Hey Dave, Improvise, adapt, overcome! I can tell from your pictures the boys look like their mother! :) Be proud young man, they are a good looking start but you need a few more to field a team! Birds are not bad ether! :) "Semper Fi" Thom
