Well group,
I just wanted to share some pictures of my new kit box that I built. It is a 3 individual kit box measuring 3x3x4. I got alot of ideas from this forum so thanks for all your help and advise. Hope you like it. Let me know what you think.

That is a very nice, clean and straight foward set up. I am so going to build some for myself. Thank you for sharing. Nice clean pine perches, very sincronized, very stable. The craftmenship speaks for it's self.

excellent boxes. what size wire did you use for the floor? why did you choose the pvc trap versus wire? i'm going to be building something similar, with a down sloping roof towards the front. you might want to consider a drip edge to protect the plywood roof edge. ---------- Steve in Blue Point, NY

Very nice. You can run those V perches through a table saw with the blade set at a slight angle and take the sharp edge off the top of the perches but I've never heard of anyone having problems with the perches the way you have them. Good Luck, Tracey

The birds will be ok the way the perch is now, but you might want to cut the back wall perch shorter next to the wall so you can scrap perch clean.JDA

JD... that's a magnificently marvelous job you done building a place to house your rollers.
....and
The architectural engineering of the kitboxes are awesome! Those plans for such a beautiful project will become infamous in the roller world. Next cage I build will look something like that. Love it inside & out.
Hmmm....
I'm not trying to talk bad about human beings... but your birds appear to be living much better than a lot of people right now. I bet your neighbors (the ones with outdoor pets) would love to have you build something elaborately fancy to house their pets in.
You doing good there bro! Keep it up.

This picture gives me a really good idea of what i need to build and how to build it as well.
One question i have is, does it benefit to have some spacing behind the perches, so the birds tail and flights possibly dont get damaged?
I like this kit box, however i would like to build one that is like this only with a isle way down the back so i can view the birds during lockdown or crappy weather without gettin soaked, since it rains like cats and dogs 6-7 months out of the year here.

polarbear... To answer your question about the spacing... I prefer some space between them. Each side of my V-perch measures 5"W x 6"L. When I install my V-perches,I usually put 3" space between them at the bottom of the V.(the widest part) and 9" apart(heightwise) This way the don't get shitted on and have their own area.. ----- Fly High and Roll On
