While Scott tries to belittle us with Jac pigeons, the UK guys gang up against the Yanks and the world becomes devided because the guy who gave up two months of his personal time to judge the WC is a super tight ass, I give you the following video to soak your oats in.

BMC, Great video, very nice kit of birds. Studying the slo mo shots confirmed 2 things for me. The faster birds definitely use a power stroke with their wings to propel themselves thru the roll and the tail does not serve as a brake. Every bird had its tail flared at the beginning of the roll with the head and tail arched. Again great video. Joe ---------- Keep em Spinning Joe
Glad you guys enjoy the videos. This one gives us something to look at and digest in terms of what the birds are actually doing compared to what we think we saw them doing. I think there are a lot of people out there who think they see or expect to see something that really isn't happening, or is happening differently than they expect for it too.
Rod, I fly mutt kits. I have three different families and fly them all together. One familiy is horner birds, one is reed birds and one is one of my own making.
LOL! I like your mutt kits especially the black white flight. That black white flight bird makes me really happy looking at it. The more I watch the movie, the more I am impressed with that bird. Any picture of that bird?

Which one...lol. The one with the mixed tail is an 05 cock I almost culled at least three times because he rolls more by himself than he does with the breaks. Some days he is fun to watch so I never culled him. I don't believe I ever flew him in a comp kit. The solid tail one is an 06 cock that can have some really good days. I'll probably try him on a hen at some point.
Of course speedball you are correct that these aren't very fast (a few nice quality though) but in the US we birds that spin so fast their guts comes out just ask Tony! He'll tell you all about it. :) ---------- Good Game Loft

If Bullshit were snow flakes there would be a blizzard on this site. How can some fool look at a slow motion video and make a comment on the velocity of the spin. Somebody has been spending too much time in the pub. If your stuff is so hot speedball put it out here for the rest of us to judge. If you can't do that keep your half-assed opinions to yourself!! ---------- Keep em Spinning Joe
"ba if you marking that mixtail bird makes me wonder what you got in the air?"
Speedball, I believe we have a langauge barrier going on here as i don't know what you mean by this. The bird isn't marked.
I'm going to guess you are new to these videos. So you know these videos aren't about displaying the best performances or the best styles or the best speed. It is about displaying what roller pigeons do, and in the case of the last two video, to show people what they do in slow motion which gives further credit to the fact that what we see is an illusion. And proof that what we think is happening almost always isn't what is really happening. If people don't like what they see it doesn't hurt my feelings as I don't care for most of my birds. I have a high standard that very few of my birds meet.
I encourage you to have the video that you have of your birds posted on the internet. Once you view it on the web I think you will understand part of why I am suggesting you do it.

Speedball, Nobody I know is after "movement" in a kit. We are after high velocity, stylish spin. Some crave unison spin, while others just enjoy the quality of the spin they see. If you have something better to offer then put it out here but I won't hold my breath. Having served with Her Majesties soldiers in NATO I am quite aware that throwing a turd on the table and then walking away is a long standing British tradition!! ---------- Keep em Spinning Joe

I've been to the UK, served as an exchange officer with the 2nd Para at Colchester in Essex. I've seen the British birds and some are good and some are not. If you are under 63 yrs old you are way behind me in experience, chap. As far as killing innocent women and children, you Brits wrote the book. Ever heard of Bomber Harris mate. ---------- Keep em Spinning Joe
Speedball, might we be so kind to have your name so we know who we are referencing?
There hasn't been a video yet that shows what the rollers are doing - accurately - some people just don't understand this. Your comments will not be taken seriously by anyone until you post the video of your own birds for the world to see. You have no excuses. Thanks.

Spudball, you are a idiot for that past remark , as for the video, never do they show the same as the naked eye, which is why few are worth watching, when I do watch them I take that into consideration, if you want to see shit watch your birds with binoculars, it aint pretty
---------- Just my Opinion Scott

If you got a spinner through binoculars, you've got a damn good roller or video for that matter.
