Dont buy any untill you do the research on the different families of birds. Go to as many flyers as you can. When you c some that you like inquire about buying some. If you can, try to pick them from the air as this will save you alot of time and money. Find out whos scoring on the flies. Find out who is doing well in the competition community and try to get birds from them. Dont just go buying birds that you nothing about. BE PATIENT. TRUST ME

In addition. Since you are starting out, stick with ONE family that you choose. Learn, watch, and study that family.

Don't take on any birds until you have the physical plant to house them. Go visit several flyers and check over thier facilities. Build what you like and then start studying how to handle and care for them. Then you find the best stock that you can afford. Breed the hell out of them and fly the hell out of the offspring. Study some more and listen very carefully to what the flyers and breeders have to say. Learn to cut all of the bullshit out and trust only a chosen few.
