I agree with holding back on the tattoo. If its something you just had to , I would wait till " YOU " bred something out your stock and that you feel proud of: because he is a supestar, a heck of producer and spinner. Something meaningful. But even then, a roller? Dude !

If you gonna get a tattoo..get one that says MoM and put it on your arse....one letter M on one side of the cheeck and the other M on the other side, its cheaper because all you use is two letters .you don't need the 0 because you had that already when you was born.....M(o)M.. this tattoo serves two purpose when you standing it will always say MoM and when upside down it will say WoW..and the good thing about it is the only 2 person that will see it is you and your girlfriend unless of cause you want to show it off to anyone....remember tell the guy that's doing it not to charge you for the O..(";")
P.S. seriously Vic..wait to you get a good roller that's your pride and joy..then carry that one with you 4 ever..

Victor, I'll tell you what I told my own kids who have always been fascinated with all of dad's tattoos. I got my first one right out of bootcamp 1985 at the age of 18. I thought it was cool as shit. I got my second one in the back of a bar in the phillipines done by hand with bamboo. Every six months or a year I'd get another one, and another one, and so on. Now I have a bunch. My son wanted me to take him to get a tattoo. I told him I would not. He asked why and I told him what I told him his whole life....don't get a tattoo unless you are prepared to accept it for life. I'm 42 now and if I had one wish made available to me, it would be that all of my tattoos were gone. I don't run with the rough crowd anymore and the people I do hang out with are older and more mature. Arms full of skulls and crap doesn't quite set a good first impression. Of course at 20 years old I could give a shit. At 40, I started to. Do what you want dude, just remember this. One day I guarantee you that you will wish you didn't get one.

PS: my daughter now has about a half dozen tats that she thinks looks cool, of course I don't.

Vic, I am 47 y.o. and have half sleeves on both arms and chest pieces on both pecs, all polynesian tribal. I have never regreted my decisions and my half sleeves will be full sleeves once I retire from the military. I also have two grown sons who have no interest in tattoos. Your body and your decision but remember they are permanent! Tracey

Vic, if you come up with a good design, post it! I've been looking for one for a long time myself. I usually get one every 5 yrs, but I'm way over due. Rollers are my passion and I'm going to get a one when I find the right desing. Hell, I even told my wife and kids that I want a pr of rollers on my tombstone. Forget all the mushy crap about being a good husband and father, just put that I was a God fearing man and let em know that I was a "rollerman"! LOL

Just make sure its a design that your happy with and make sure you use a quality artist to do the job.

Ralgh, that reminded me of back in the 70s when I got my little red devil that was supposed to say "Born To Raise Hell" only problem was I was 15 bucks short so all I got was the little Devil and never made it back for the "born To Raise Hell" part , just a few years ago I finally got it covered up as the "Born to Raise Hell" part went the way of my youth , well except here of coarse LOL.
I am with Brian , if I had to do it over again I would not have any, or at least where they could be covered with short sleeve, there was a time where they were a novelty , now they are the norm.

Sunflower, I am currently in the U.S. Air Force. I spent ten years in the Marines and decided to take a break that lasted seven years. When I decided to go ahead and finish up my time the Marines told me I had been gone too long. Anyway 2012, will give me twenty active duty years. pat66- "Just remember we do age! at 60 that pigeon Might resemble a duck! as things do start to sag,LOL" That's the incentive to stay in shape, so things don't sag. LOL

I have quite a few tats myself...and Every tat I have I would not change....I feel tats tell a story of who you are...where you have been......I myself have my Grandfather tattooed on my left shoulder in full Indian Head dress.....and below it has GWYA DBJ..."Cherokee Nation" The A is actually looks like a upside down Y and the same with the J...anyway...I have a Maltese Cross on my forearm...(Fire Department Cross)....or iron cross or Knights of the roundtable cross....lOL...they are all the same...and it says UCDFD in old Celtic alphabet...I have my two kids names in old Celtic on my right shoulder..with a "fighting Irish" Lephrechan....I have a fire helmet with two axes crossed on my back (small)...and and old gunslinger with skull and guns crossed (smokin guns) and underneath is says "Outlaw"....was called that on the motocross track back in the day...so my story....I am American Indian and Irish...Respect my grandfather...I am a firefighter and live and die by the meaning of the maltese cross...(Honor, Prestige, Protect and serve).....UCFD...my department...have my kids names...and I was an outlaw at one time...or maybe I still am....so....Tats are more in the norm now.....where in the old days...you were military, gang banger, motorcycle gang or an inmate.....now everyone has them...LOL

For What Its Worth:

From http://www.wisegeek.com/should-i-get-a-tattoo.htm

"While tattoos are quickly becoming a part of mainstream culture, it’s worth pointing out that they are far from universally accepted. Some people still feel men and women with tattoos are rebellious, uneducated, and unprofessional. In fact, some of the nation’s leading employers will not hire people with certain types of tattoos. If you’re planning to work in a conservative industry such as banking or insurance, getting a large or highly visible tattoo may not be the best career move."

"Tattoos are also potentially dangerous. Hepatitis, a serious and chronic disease that causes inflammation of the liver, is one consequence of getting a tattoo from an unsanitary parlor. Allergic reactions are also a possibility."

It once was thought (may still be) that those with tattoos were deficent in character and the military would not commission anyone having a tattoo. Times have changed. Many things that once were are no longer.
