I have this one bird that starting out well the first year 20 to 25ft it roll with great quality with frequency stop like hitting a brickwall and right back to the team..I flew this bird for one whole year and lock her up after that one year for 4 month so I won't lose her to the BOP ...I let her out for her second year of evaluation but I notice she kitted well after lock down but didn't roll like she use to I thought maybe all the rest and feeding she has more control even though the others were back into the grove withen that week and a half of flying ..now she's been flying 5 month and once in a while does a flip or two like a tumbler and also claps like a male does before it rolls or should I say tumble.....I'm wondering would this bird ever roll again...?...just the other day she let one go I thought she's back but no ..back to being a tumbler..anybody had one of these? P.S.I had hopes for this bird as a breeder but now it kind of went out the window..

Ralph, If this bird is wing clapping, She's to strong. Give her a dose of the salts and try her.

fly your birds, take the water out of the flying box. boil 2 pints of water and mix in a table spoon of epsom salts, let it cool. feed yours birds on wheat or milo depending on how strong they are. The birds should be in condition to be flying 30 to 45 minutes. after the birds eat give them the water and leave it in over night. when you go out to fly them in the morning, they should all be fluffed up on the perch with maybe 1 or 2 on the the floor. ( about 1 hour after they drink the epsom salts they will be on the perch fluffed up, very quiet with the runs). This works on birds that can roll, that are too fit or strong. If your birds are in this condition most of the time, They'er over fed, learn to keep your birds in flying condition and use salts as a last resort. After you fly the birds, Give them clean water, good luck. Lets hear the results you have.
