Also like to see Ro Black and Ken Firl go at it with the Easley birds.

Spanky, I think the question to ask is if you have been to Tim's lately? If you haven't just look at the scores he has been putting up as of late. The guy is always up there in the top durring the Fall Flys and the World Cup.

victor first of all get your information right i dont have any johnny smith pigeons and i have never bought a bird from jerry. i have had my family since 1994 and have not brought any new blood in unlike everyone else searching for the gold pot. yes i have had bad luck on the big flys but thats no excuse. the cprc's ironman trophy has one name with almost triple the amount of points than the next closest person and guess whos name that is. and once again ill repeat same day same judge and lets see how good u really are with a wager on the line im always searching for competitors. some people who have won the big flys have not even put up anything worth wasting gas on thats just the way it is could not fly a good kit let alone a winning kit if their life depended on it

Hi Abel,

there are about 10 guys in SoCal I would love to see fly a kit and you are one of them. I believe you could put up a kit of smokers.

However, claiming an iron man trophy in a local club, albeit perhaps the top local club in the world, is not the same as winning a national or world championship.

Your comment "some people who have won the big flys have not even put up anything worth wasting gas on thats just the way it is could not fly a good kit let alone a winning kit if their life depended on it" is disrespectful to those that have achieved the pinnacle of the sport.

Please clarify.

Best Regards,

Ken

Just wondering Abel, do you like how Hannes Rossouw judging? As for me I do because hes doesn't give point to waterfalling and this 1/2 second nonsense. And also hes here not to make people proud of there kits being in the hundreds but showing who has the real deal.

The people whos on top now wouldn't be there if they counted all these nonsense(waterfalling 1/2second) and we would probably see many people in the hundreds.

Able, my comment about Tim was not a dig on your birds. Everyone here knows what you have at your house (I'm sure you have seen me in your backyard once or twice or five time times), it was just a responce to the post "who VS who".

yang hannes is an excellent judge and is doing a good job i have him in the same category as scott. the difference this year is the 1/2 sec rule so naturally scores are going to be lower but that does mean that a team cant score hundreds.

Spanky, I know what Tim flys at his house and I know he has bred out of one of his birds,if there are more I don't know about it, but reading your statement (and I have been to Abel's this year, I was the scribe for Eldon Cheny when he judged Abel's kit this year) are you saying that he is beating him with his own birds?

Spanky the post was "who VS who". Not who has the best, who flys their own family or anything like that, just "who VS who". How this subject got turned around, I don't know. Maybe it should have been titled "who has the best". Then alot of the wordage that is taking place would fit right in, but it wasn't it was "who VS who". Like I stated before to Abel, everyone knows that he has ass kicking birds. There is no debate over this matter. I just was making reference to the results of the Fall Fly last year and the World Cup this year and that team comp. that took place a few weeks ago (even though there seemed to be some funny stuff taking place, it didn't involve Tim's team).

You are right about the Cheny thing last year I stand corrected.

TIm Decker year in and year out is in the top 10 of the finals in WC and Fall Fly. He has excellent spinners and knows what to do with them. He survived terrible desease from the last attempted California Classic and within a couple seasons was back near the top. I havent' had the pleasure to see Abel's birds. But appears by the posts they are thought highly of by some respectable guys so I hope I get to see them some day. Tim breeds out of several families he created, and if he breeds out of some of Abel's stock then Abel should be honored. Tim vs. Abel- would love to see that. If Abel's birds are as good as Tim's and Abel is as a comparable roller handler to Tim then I would wager they would split wins around 50% in a continous fly-off. That in itself is an honor to both of them.

I would love to see William Pensom vs. Stan Plona! Maybe we will all be lucky when our time comes and there is a roller heaven full of all the greats and their birds.
