hi i dont know if this happen to you guys but my squeakers one is bigger then the other one and the smaller of the two is always the male how do u get the two to be the same size i try all you can eat for the parents already
It seems in my loft even when they hatch on the same day one is larger than the other by banding day so I always band the larger one first (even#) then smaller with odd # so I can try to figure out hens or cocks when they mature to see if larger ones are hens or cocks But I am a Rookie
When 1 baby is outgrowing the other, the bigger one will be more agressive and so I just put another nestbowl in there and seperate them. This way they get more evenly fed. I usually wait till their about a week or 10 days old to do this though. Seems to work for me.
Of course this just works in my independant breeding pens. In the open breeding loft, I have to wait till the oldest one is starting to feather out and I just set it on the floor. ---------- Val
