hi all
i pick my friend hanness up from newcastle airport which is about 50 miles from me on wednesday.which is not too bad
though we do have a airport no more than 10 miles from me.
apparently theres no flights arriving nr me from holland that day.but after visiting my region i have to take him back to newcastle to fly to belfast.now heres my gripe newcastle to belfast is 30 minutes flight.the exact same thing happened last year with eldon.but instead of flying to belfast via newcastle some one has booked him on a plane to heathrow then to belfast which is giving him another couple of hours unnecesery flying.we told the w/c commitee of this last year but nothing has changed.infact our coordinator still as not been invited on the list .
surely after someone has travelled around the world the w/c commitee should have the decency to save him from hours more travelling when theres no need.as newcastle to belfast is a quick cheap flight + run or fly regulary.

Maybe he can get a red eye from / to the departure / destination in question. The economy might have something to do with it also, I think anyway.

hi all
squabby its nothing to do with the cost as direct flights from newcastle to belfast are cheap + often.
ive done it a few times + it takes around 35 min.
but a round trip to heathrow takes 3 hours.which to make someone who has travelled around the world then have to fly another 3 hours is madness.some ones not thinking of the poor judge.scott my gripe is that we mentioned it after eldon had to do the same last year
but theyve gone + done the same thing again.if no one says nothing then it will keep happening.and i just feel sorry for the judge.

The change that I am talking about is on the top John, this judge has wasted most of his time on planes zig zagging from point to point, if it were me I would be pissed.
