Hey there people,i need some advice,i had a cock that i breed with but does not belong to me,breed 2 rounds of young,the 1st set are performing well at only 3 months old,the 2nd set are still in training,but had to return the cock bird back to itn owner 3 days ago,the hen is my own bird,thing is today i sor that she layd eggs and is laying on it,so what do i do sins i dont have any fosters, do i remove the eggs or will she be able to hatch the eggs on her own???

Just toss the eggs.she wont last though the 18 days of incubation.

If your going to throw them away, why not let her sit on them and see how she does? I had a cock die while the pair had eggs, they hatched and mother took care of the youngsters. I'll tell something else you may not believe, she laid again. Of course the eggs aren't fertile, but I'm going to let her sit them just to see how long she will. Good luck.

I've seen it go both ways! Last year I had an extra hen and she laid 2 eggs. She set them till they hatched and raised 2 healthy babies all by herself. I think its probably rare, but it happens!
