Oh..I almost forgot..
If you want to see the Pure Ruby rollers fly...I challenge you to a fly off....I will breed a kit of PURE 100% Ruby Rollers.....and fly them against your team.....we can do 2 out of three..one fly..I dont care...you pick the rules...all I ask is that you pick a date about a year and a half away so that I have time to put my pure Rubys back together and get a team going....whatever rules you want....we will agree on a judge and we will split the cost of airfair for the judge.....We can fly for the hell of it..or if you want to put some money down...Then I am all in. I have that much confidence in the Ruby Rollers...and you better whip my ass good....for the ground work that you have already laid....and when it is over...I will shake your hand...why..because that is how i was raised....and for once and for all....maybe the Ruby Rollers will earn enough respect that all the Asshole know it all will shut there yapper...and just fly pigeons and be roller fliers and not a soap opera....I have that much faith in the birds....so the ball is in your court....I have 4 unproven young Ruby Roller that I bought off a buddy that needed the money...I have 3 or so pairs of Stock birds...and TOny said he would either send me breeders or some young birds to fly out....and then we can have a fly off.....and we will see how crappy the Ruby Rollers are.
If you do not accept this challenge...it is dropped.....and we move on...and I hope my last post lets the haters step back and just fly pigeons..and Be leaders in the sport and accept the bigger challenge of setting an example to the young fliers that you respect your fellow fancier ....there is no I in team.
And...if we do the fly..and the Ruby Rollers do good...wich I know they will....because I have flown them for 4 years....I will auction off the whole flown out kit of birds....half the money will go to the NBRC...Half of the other half will go to Tony to maintain his site....and the rest will pay for the expenses we incurred for judges etc....so...the ball is in your court.
I really hate the put up or shut up mentallity..because I am not in this for the Glory or the challenging people to fly offs....I really just want to fly my birds....win or lose.....to be honest...my scores in our local flies and big flies and the word of some respected fliers. like Chuck ROe, Joe Urbon, Gul Rand, Tim Decker, Brian McCormick, Scott Campbell, Ken Firl and whomever else has seen my birds..should be good enough.
IF the Rubys sucked...they would not be in my loft and not be crossed with the Morts...the blood is strong and true in all my crosses.

Paul knew what was more important his birds or the convention. Paul did a great job setting up the convention and everything went smoothly. I'm glad Paul isn't selfish taking the pride for himself prepping his birds, turning the spotlight on himself but focusing on the guest to have a good time. I enjoy the great food and fellowship. ---------- Good Game Loft

Paul, I raise my hat to you, you are a true sports man and I give you a hand shake from down under.
You have spoken like a true gentleman. Unfortunately I have a short fuse I should take a leaf out of your book when dealing with these chaps on this site. But none the less there is no excuse for what happened. Let that turd rot in his corner.

Paul,
first of all im sorry that (me being at work) i miss out on a great opportunity be there at the convention. and second, i just wanna say that you are "The Man". i respect all that you and every1 do, and did to bring out a great convention that is so so close here to home. although i missed out on it, id thank you and every1 for bringing a convention like there here to sacrameto.
although its a negitive issue, it is good that you pointed this (kgb posting), out due to the fact that some peoples thoughts should be kept to themselves. it didnt help on informing me about what i missed out on at the convention, and will not help better the convention if there is another one...

will not miss the next one!!!

Paul The convention had to be a lot of work..I take may hat's off to you for your time and effort. Its a thankless job and you took it on. I do not see how Kennys' post could have taken the thunder from convention....that's ridiculous..this is getting to be quite the Soap Opera. I like the challenge... it would be interesting if you lived closer together and you could fly the best out of three flies.. Bwinward

Paul I thought you did a great job with the convention. I saw your kit fly and I agree you can not juge a kit by one fly. I have been to several of these conventions and saw several of the kits fly and I can tell you the guys that won it all the year before had kits that did not perform well.

All I can say is that from the first time I read posts and reply from KGB back afew years ago I "didn't" like his pompiss atitude. And to this day I "still don't" like his pompiss, know it all atitude. To me he is a "big mouth" nobody. I feel the same way that Paul does about him too.

Not taking sides as I haven't read all the details on the matter. But as a mongrelized Irishman myself I can tell you got heart. Sometimes our passion can overwhelm our judgment but at least people know where we stand. What we don't have in size or stature is often made up for by our tenacity. BTW my dad is a retired fire chief and although he's only 5' 7" he is still feared - mostly by me.

Paul, We all know you did not make the fall fly in 5th place for nothing or by accident. This was a set up from the first post and I would like KGB just to apologize to you and Tony. That would be great!
KGB, there is a guy here who flys Billings birds, He is a nice man and is having a hard time getting the birds to do good. In fact in one of our local flys the judge gave him 5 points for break that was a waterfall and really not a good clean break. The other guy said that was not a break, and the judge said, What the heck it is only 5 points or he would have gotten a ZERO for 20 minutes. Now we cant judge your birds on that fly can we? Do the right thing and apologize. You really was out to trip Tony and indirectly used Paul to accomplish it and that is why I pointed out the "Read the first post again guys". Bill C

Winnward....
Took the thunder from the convention....147 posts on how crappy the Ruby Rollers are....and 9 posts on the convention photos...and a 3 or 4 from a couple other fliers.....that is taking the thunder.....Kenny could have been joking and stirring a little shit....but look how it went sidways..you had kids talking shit about the Rubys and they dont even fly them..you had other fliers talking smack...take a look at rollerworld...he opened up a can...everybody is talking about how crappy they are...so I dont care what you say either....KGB wanted to stir the pot and he did...My posts about the issue are not a direct attack about Kenny...it is the fact that the top fliers have to understand that when they open there mouth some take it as gospel and then rumors start etc....no need to have that...the top fliers have to be carefull....when I got promoted to Captain and became a leader in our department...I could not say the same things as I did as a firefighter....why...because now I have respect, authority and some look up to me...so something joking may hit somebody a little harder....because of my status...so...that is my point....but it was bad timing and should not have been done...he knows what he did and the date proves it.....he posted on the 20th and I flew on the 19th...and I know for a fact he knew how my birds flew before he did it...

Paul I don't doubt Kenny knew the answer to what he was posting. He just set the matches and logs at the door and walked away...the rest of you nucklehead burnt the house down and have contined to flame the fire. The topic could have been steered many differant directions.....You your self Paul steered the topic can't blame Kenny for that..that was your own choosing. I thought it was a good topic to start with. I have someone in the area that has Ruby's Rollers but have not really looked them over. bwinward

Winward,
He lit the fire brother...or threw the grenade in the room and walked out...my point is...YOU DONT DO THAT...for every action there was a reaction.....he could have got back on and stopped the posts...and said....Guys..I am not asking for bashing...but the birds...my point is..why ask...I think I have proved enough about what the Ruby Rollers have....again..I know for a fact that he did it to stir the pot...my point is....if you dont throw down the matches and wood you cant start a fire....my whole point is why do it in the first place...If you dont put bait in the trap....you wont catch anything...This is not my first Rodeo Brother...trust me.....again..for every action there is a reaction...Poor little Kenny he had no idea what he was doing.......it was everyone else that reacted...Hey...if I yell fire...people are going to run right...put blood in the water sooner or later a shark will take the bait and then you have a feeding frenzy...do you blame the sharks or the one who put the blood in the water..

ANyway...I just put up my post to let him know that it was uncool..nothing more nothing less....I am a pretty tough dude..so no worries....I just want all the slamming of people to stop...maybe its just because I am a firefighter and I have seen death and I know that life is way to short to be a dick or be mean..

Paul, you said it all when you talked about the good fly days and the bad. Keep up the good work with your birds and always know that you will go through many "tests" because of some pigeon owners who want only for you to fail at your every attempt as you work with your birds. I only hope KGB "mans up", "steps up to the plate", or agree to a fly off with you so he will become a "believer in the RUBY ROLLERS" after the fly off is over. ---------- DJJeffman Spinners

Paul The man who has the better birds on a certain day has NOTHING AT ALL to do with who is the better sportsman, a true gentleman, or a man who makes friends rather than insults. The next time you and KGB are fortunate to be in a Finals Fly together, let THAT decide whatever it is that needs deciding. As has been said, anyone who would judge a man's birds on the basis of one fly knows very little about rollers....and it reveals more about the lack of character of the individual that is passing judgement than the man being judged. I already KNOW who gets my vote. Good birds do not prove who is the better man anyway. A man's birds may be great one fly and DQ the next....but a man with character, dignity and honor will be remembered far longer than the birds he flew or if we won this fly or that fly. JMHO, Cliff

Paul, mate, from the other side of the Atlantic, this has been a real eye-opener and I hope it doesn't get you down too much. Everyone knows that when two strains are merged, the road is very different. This season I've crossed Mason with Moseley and from the off the colours and patterns are different, the stance is different and the behaviour is different.
Given the time you've taken in the past to explain why you crossed Tony's birds with others, it's a surprise you're still touted as the main man flying Ruby Rollers.
The convention thing? All I can say is well done, Paul.
