I have been very disappointed the last several days as I expected to come on RPDC and see alot of great information and shares about the convention as I was unable to go and besides a few friends that attended I have few other resources to hear about the convention then sites like RPDC. Paul shared some great photos and some good threads were started, only to end up on the dark side. I have posted to simply change the channel if you don't like what you are watching, but hard to sort thru a post that starts positive and then turns negative. I truly believe there are many more positive people in this hobby and on this site then negative. If we flood the site with positive posts perhaps we can weed out or at least cut down the negative contributors. Nothing wrong with debating a subject, but when we disagree or can't allow another's opinion to be expressed because we believe our opinion is much more important, then we(I use we as that includes me!) seem to start attacking each other on a personal level and agenda and that turns a good debate in to garbage. So positive roller hobbyists, can we flood RPDC with positive and constructive threads or will the negative and dark side take over like it has in recent days? The question will only be answered in time! Sincerely, Don M. Mac's Rollers LVRC NBRC QSDC

Don, That is a wonderful idea! Let's just talk to each other like we would talk to our family. Thom

Guys If I remember correctly, Tony is trying a new and improved, less restrictive "posting policy". I think it went something like this: "Treat others like you want to be treated", or some of you may remember it referred to as the "GOLDEN RULE". But then we have the more realistic approach. We are a nation of LAWS. We have locks on our doors and some of us may even bare arms to defend ourselves against those who do not abide by the golden rule. For Tony's idea to work, we must all understand and abide by the same golden rule...... and we do not! I see no other choice but for a set of restrictions approved by Tony, to go back into effect and something done to enforce that policy. One or two bad apples can rot the whole barrel. As we just witnessed, a rotten topic thread can be trolled and more rotten posters will add to the stink. Example: "Your wife is fat and your kids are ugly!" Tempers will flare. "Your wife is very kind and your kids are very nice." Thank you for your courtesy. Peace and tranquility! If you speak here, as you do to your wife, kids or boss, then I doubt you will cause any problems. If you become a card carrying asshole on this list, but don't behave that way ANYWHERE ELSE.... What does that say? With all the varied personalities here, I suggest that we need posting policy restrictions. Bad topics need to be locked or removed, bad language needs to be dealt with, just as in the work place. We have just made my case with the lack of respect shown to Tony and others on this board. We don't have to have the best birds, but we need to treat others with respect as hobby/club members. Are we so driven as to need to destroy others to elevate ourselves, speak negatively about other men' birds, breeding philosophies, kit strategies? Is this barrel so rotten that we can not see who the rotten apples are? Can these rotten apples change? There are NO ROTTEN APPLES HERE... only a few rotten expressions of opinions..... Many many times it is not WHAT WE SAY, BUT HOW WE SAY IT! We do not have the right to belittle and degrade others on this board. If we cannot speak in ways so as to not raise a stink.....then let's keep our opinions to ourselves. LET'S JUST TRY TO NE NICE TO ONE ANOTHER...... how hard can that be? When did COURTESY become a dirty word? WHO wants a knuckle dragging, undisciplined, uncouth trouble-maker as your new best friend? NOW... My pigeons are doing great...I feel great about their performance. How are yours doing? Cliff

Yes, What Cliff said! Not advocating for a rule suspension, just a little consideration. If the others can't stand the light of day, they can go elsewhere. Thom
