A few years back, I went out to the loft and found a large snake with an egg in it's mouth. After relocating the snake I returned the egg to the nest. The egg eventualy hatched and I named the bird Lucky. Some time after that a cooper hit a bird and landed in a nearby field, a nieghbor chased it off and the bird returned to the loft, it was Lucky. That fall Lucky rolled down and did not survive, finaly could not live up to his name. Have I ever had a bad luck bird? At least one! LOL

I had a dark check Pensom cock, snaged by a falcon, that falcon didn't have a good grip on him and the bird got away. the falcon took all the secondary feathers out of one wing. About 4 months later it happen again, same pigeon to the other wing. I named that pigeon target and gave it away.

vhawk, I agree with 0221. My advice, take your wife out, buy her a good dinner go to the movie of her choice. Bad luck will stop! :)

Don't blame the birds. It was your mistake. Was buying the birds worth the price she is making you pay? Tell her you are sorry for not listening. Ask her what you can do to remedy the situation. Then do it. Then you can take her to the movies or whatever you want to do And "I am sorry" and "I love you" goes a long way if she cares. Good luck.

vhawk, I was tongue in cheek (a joke) about buying your wife dinner. You are right it's not about buying birds. You love your wife, that is obvious. In order to make things better just treat her like you want to be treated. It takes more of a man to put your wife first and if you do, things will be better. Just saying it and letting it show goes a long way.

If it is bothering you that much, then set the birds free. Make a wish before setting them free.
