Chad, that has been dead for some time now. I think some of the guys in California threw the idea of bringing it back a few months ago. We have one similar very close to you called the Oklahoma Futurity Fly! You should give it a shot.. lol

If I am not mistaken this mite be the california fly that some guys been telling me about where only california flyers compete against each other. I heard that Brian McCormick was the one who started and i think after he won, abel volunteer to continue it but it neva happen. Correct me if im wrong.

yes the cal classic was a futurity fly, it's was $150 to enter I think? took like 100 birds I think? or as many as the host wanted to take.
I think the biggest problems for events like this these days is the sicknesses associated with it. all the birds from all different locations bringing in all kinds of bacteria and illnesses to boot. Real hazardous these days for the host and also for the good birds sent in.
OPRA has been doing it for sometime, not sure how their illnesses issues have been? most are local guys and it's not real big for the most part, I have entered it several times and enjoyed it the outcome.
