ASRA is going to Paris. Paris, Arkansas that is. Holding thier first annual show and picnic It is being held at Mt. Magazine State Park at the pavilion on September 12, 2009. Opens at 9:00AM. The two that I knew had them are no longer in rollers. Ya know Rick grew up hanging around Jerry Higgins in California. I would believe he basically had whatever Jerry Higgins had. I think.
I will search around and see if I can find someone who still has them.

Nick, Rick and I grew up in Wilmington CA. He didn't start flying Jerry's birds and Tim Decker birds till he joined the Air Force (after a stint in the Army) and was stationed at March Air Force Base in Riverside CA. When we grew up as kids we were flying Bob Scott's birds. From what Rick told me, those birds went to Joe Bowers who also lived in Wilmington at the time, when he went into the Army. When he got redeployed to Ark. (after MAFB) he took those 2 families with him and flew them from his place outside of Little Rock.

Hell no, Dale. You can even ride with me. I live about 12 minutes fron TN close to I-40. It is our first one and I am getting concern if anyone will show. So far only myself and Jerry Holder have committed. The deadline is August 12 and I have gotten only Jerry's response from the mail.

If you plan to be there give me a call or email me. Got to have an idea so that I can set up for it properly. Need to know if you're bringing birds to show; birds to auction; any thing else you will bring to auction or raffle. It is a pot luck so you members coming I will assign foods to bring.

Hey Nick,
Just wanted to let ya know that I will not be able to attend. My Dad passed away last week, {my folks had planned to go to Colorado to visit family in Sept.}, so I told my Mom that I would drive her out there.
I still want to get over there and meet ya someday, I hear you have some great birds.

Dale - sorry to hear it about your Dad. We will get together soon and I could come your way one of these days. I have about seven good birds and a whole bunch of squeekers that ain't been proven yet...it is a new family for me and the prof is in the pudding(LOL)

Nick and club members, I have some bad news, I will not be able to make the trip this go around. My youngest son is starting his first game of FOOTBALL this year on the 12th. We just got the schedule yesterday.. I am very sorry, really wanted to hang out with some of the legends in this area. Your Friend in the hobby...
