I have a question about a cock bird?
Last year this cock hit a branch while evading a bop. He has a scar with no feathers that runs from under his beak towards his wing butt about 1 inch long. For a few months after he was fine, now i notice him with his beak open, like he is panting after flying in hot weather.
I did notice what looked like cancker in his throat, so i treated him with 1.5 spartrex tablets for ten days and it still didnt go away. He has a rattle or raspy sound in his breathing so last week i ran some 4 in 1 on him and again little improvement.
My question is, is it possible for his wind pipe to be damaged or injured from the accident? He does eat and drink just fine as well as raise babies, I would like to treat him if possible and with no vets in my area that know anything about birds you guys are who i turned to.
Does anyone have any suggestions on whats going on?
