----------ok i have a kit bird that doesnt want to kit, flys on its own ,its an 08,new to the kit..do i keep flying it or cull it ,its been 2weeks in with kit .i have held it back and tossed it up when they are low ,it kits for a few seconds and goes on its own again has anybody had this problem b4

Rick unfortunately for you that bird is a cull and should be treated as such. Rollers as with all pigeons are creatures of habbit.( good ones and bad ones ) Once they develope them it is very difficult if not impossible to break them of it. Do yourself a favor before that bird starts getting other birds to join it and cull it out. Joe

I agree with Joe 100%! A bird like this will ruin a young kit if you fool around and keep flying it!

The responses are right on. If it was a young bird just coming in to the spin I would give it a little leeway, but not much. An 08 bird is at least about 8 months plus old and probably older. It may pull out of it for a while if you baby it and rest it, but eventually it will go back to it's bad trait. Joe also makes a good point as it will also draw other birds out of the kit and you don't want any others to get that bad habit. Time to say good bye to your 08 bird and move forward! Don M.

thank u gentlemen ,will do,thanks for ur input.my kit is kitting better every time i fly them and thats the last thing i want is to screw them up.great advice did not no if it was correctable or a cull,thanks again
