no there is not a book on colors EVERYBODY has their own opinion about color from what i have seen, other breeds have standards, rollers do not, they are a preforming breed so color is not important

rookie,
Have a look on the Slobberknocker Loft website, that will show you the different colours.

Here's another good resource. There are some different colors and factors that aren't mentioned or documented in very many places.

www.eric.faultybrakes.com

When studying colors/genetics, try to keep your mind focused on a few guidelines.

Pattern and order of dominance:
Spread
T-Pattern
Check
Bar
Barless

Color and order of dominance:
Ash Red
Blue
Brown

The birds you encounter in your own loft or pictures you see posted all fall under a combination of either Pattern and Color. There are many Factors (such as Indigo and Reduced) that will cause the feathering to change. For example, a Reduced-Check is really a Blue-Check with the Reduced Factor laid on top of it. Keep these things in mind as you study the different colors these birds have.

Thanks!
