ok i am still confuse on how to feed my birds how do u know when to n when not to add corn or wheat or the rest of the grain in there diet? how does it effect them on there flying? as long as they are feed and feeling strong they will fly right

hay vhawk the best avice i can give you is to work with the different grans until you feel that you feel that you got the birds how you want them............i guess that make since but any way i think you know what i'm trying to say...............donny james

12-16 PERCENT protein till at least 6 months old then play with feed!

vhawk....if your birds are right out of the nest to the time they start to roll feed them up. Give them a GOOD pigeon mix 12-16% and don't be stingy....
At this age they need all the nutrietion they can get.
Only add corn for body heat,usually in the colder months. Let them fly regularly and when they come into the roll,that's the time to re-adjust their feed.
Don't let them develope any bad habits.....Like landing on anything else but the roof of their kitbox or loft, in trees, on overhead lines(electric wires)or on the gorund. And most of all remember..."Patience" is a virtue.

thanks guy that was good advice but one more thing Windjammer Loft how do u keep them from landing on the wires roof of the house not the kite and ground they seem to land on the ground then into the kite box
