That is a very nice tripple kit box, Larry! What a great idea to the top open so they could get some fresh air and sunlight after a fly. Just be sure to have some good locks or hitches so when we get those strong winds the tops will not blow off. I had some cages blown over with 50 mile hour winds here a few years ago. We dont get strong winds that often but a few years ago we had some that blew off shingles all over town. Your birds are looking nice and I like those feed pans also. Good luck, I hope I can make it to the young bird fly? I cant fly but hope to go if it works out for me. bill c

Thanks Guys..
Bill, I have hook latches on the sides, and all the doors/traps have magnets. They will also get some locks on them.
Tony , Those are bakeing sheets from a commercial oven . My wife is a cook and she didnt need them. They are 26 x 18 x 1 1/4 deep.
Paul , I leave before the sun comes up ... and I like to watch them fly and trap, so I have been flying late around 7pm.
Rick , DAMMMMN if its to hot for me I no its to hot for them ...lol good luck

Hi Larry, Just a note: Be careful when your birds begin to mature. ( usually hold over birds ) but first rounds also can get pretty strong on the wing by late summer or fall. Remember to keep track of the day light hours getting shorter now. I had flown some birds for my brother one hour before dark and the birds were just about tree level to land and it was dark in the trees and brush and they went back up to the light in the sky and would not land. I had some birds all over the yard by midnight. I was out with a flashlight finding as many as I could. Dave Henderson told me next time to put a spot light on the kit box and have light inside so they can see and it helps to get them in if they fly and it gets too dark. Just keep control with your feed and make sure they are fed 24 hours before. I once flew in the afternoon and then the next morning and lost a few because they were over fed due to me not realizing they had only flown about 14 hours instead of the full 24 hour program. Maybe I'm thinking too much? See ya soon. Bill C
