This young squeaker has quite a routine. Have any of you ever seen anything like this. Every now and then he just does a little jig. I can't see anything wrong with him - no mites or flies. He doesn't do it all the time, just when something bothers him. I had to film quite a bit to edit this much action.

I have birds that will do that when they have an investation of lice or mites. They stop dancing or stamping thier feet soon after I treat them. ---------- Just My Take On Things
You have red mites in the loft. They come out in the evening and when it get dark therough the early morning hours. They suck the blood from the leggs of the birds.
---------- SR21 I had a cock do this ritual dance i treated for mites, lice, ticks and worms and still he did the dance so what i did was cut off the bands and it stop. my reason would be because he liked the sound like a babies rattle.I still have this 3 year old cock and all the off springs are keepers.
They are right. The right back toe seems stuck. Check either 44 seconds or 46 seconds. The bird is trying to shake it off--the band that is to get its toe out.
