these guys are taking longer too mate and sometimes only lays one egg, if any. what can i do too spice up my old breeders? and get maybe one last round out of them, thanks guys in advance for the help.

Dinner, music, with candle light of course and a fine bottle of wine. Thats for you and your wife or girlfriend! :) Fertility pills for the birds and a stable platform to mate on. Clipping their vents will also help and a little oil for the hen on her feed and on her vent. Thom

Fontanabound ,i have had this problem from time to time ,a friend of mine suggested putting eggs from another pair under the two that were egg-less and after they had hatched and reared this round they were fine after and laid and hatched subsequent rounds , jim.

oldfart, what type of oil do you recommend? should i clip the feathers off the vent of the cock too?

Yes I would clip both birds. I would use any of these oils, safflower, olive, cod liver (yuck) or vegetable. Just a little rubbed into their vents and on their food for a few days. Just enough to make it shine but not stick together. Good Luck Thom
