Any duck hunters on here? I'm looking to buy a boat to hunt ducks with and also fish out of. If you have any recommendations for or against a certain brand I would appreciate it. I'll be hunting the Ohio River and some lakes around Kentucky.

Do you hunt out of the boat and will make it the blind or can you run the boat up under a permanent blind to hide it?

If you are hunting the shallows or mud flats take a look at the "Go Devil" surface drives. I have a lease on the marsh in Houma, Louisiana, I travel the intercoastal canal and the shallow estuaries, I can't get to my blinds without one!

Thanks guys. Donnie I'm in Lexington so it's a little over an hour to the Ohio from me. Donnie I think I have been near portsmouth once.

Guys we don't have a lot of shallow water, although those mud motors do look fun. I will be using a blind on the boat and probably hunting a few lakes and rivers around here. I've been looking at War Eagle and Sea Ark on the internet. The last few years we've just been hunting ponds near where I live, so we want more options and new scenery.
