Has anyone used L Glutamine on their birds for recovery purposes after they fly. I have noticed a significant difference in the recovery period. (They overcome stress quickly).
I have been using Glutamine for the past 5 years on my birds after a fly, but this year im going to try giving it to them when I start breeding and continue throughout the breeding season.
I have been giving them 1 teaspoon to 2ltrs of water every two days. But when Im breeding this coming season will be giving it to them on a daily basis.
Any different opinions will be welcomed. Thanks

Good thinking , I have been giving some of these sups some thought but never tried them, my thought was a solid post workout protien like Universal Torrent which is loaded with aminos, and it would blow right through them. ---------- Just my Opinion Scott

i would actually give it to the birds an hour before they fly seeing as gluatamine helps stop the musclear deteration through cardio endurance there fore it helps alot more right before than it would after wards and i use the stuff you can buy at any body building store and even at wal-mart make sure it is none flavored i use body fortress its cheap and works great and lasts along time i think its like 10 a bottle and i use it when i work out as well so its safe for every one and every thing ---------- The man in black Bling-Bling-Benny-Boy city-side-lofts.piczo.com Rocket-Rollers

Hi Rocky
I have been using AST Micromized Glutamine for myself after I work out and at the same time giving it to my birds.
If you have to get Glutamine make sure you get "Micromized" as this brand desolves better in the water. Also make sure any left over is discarded after 2hrs as it spoils after this time.
So have it ready for them before they fly off that is if they want to drink any and leave it there for a total of two hrs from the time its made. Make up a new batch if required. ----------
