Beautiful day on friday so i put up a kit of 32 birds i turn my head for to seconds and they gone all i see is feathers . as of today 14 has returned when should i lose hope jerry t

jnyce.. don,t give up for I had a cooper hit one of my birds Wens in the AM and I had a young bird first time out just feed can and trap trained that made two birds I though I had lost. Wens afternoon the bird that was hit by the cooper came back with a slice on her belly.Today the youngster came back hungry,five days later so don,t give up.JDA

Any idea what had happened? Did the birds went up really high and went too far away from the loft?

I would keep flying the birds you got back. Hopefully if your other birds are still in the area, they can be flag back to your house. How long? It depends on your family of birds. I've had birds come back at 5 days. So theres still hope. For the most its 3 days.
