Miguel had put his name out there but I dont know if everyone will read that post? I have one of his lost birds a red spangle bird banded 2008 band number NCRC 2528 -08 bird. looks to be a nice hen. probably flying for a year. It is eating like a pig and seem to have healthy droppings so far. It is thin like it has not eaten much for a week or more. I have is isolated away from my birds and would like to get it home soon. Normally I would not have a stray bird in my yard. I usually shoot any ferrels that land with my birds. But the lady wanted to have someone pick it up as she was not going to be home for a few days. I found retireved it from the greenhaven area of south Sacramento. Bill C

rollinfever, First of all you should do your profile as I would not have anyone at my place that remains anonamous. Second where do you live? Se how nobody knows! Problem there.

Also if you are in Northern Calif go to the Thunderbirds lawn show and meet the flyers and some locals.

Hloe Pon is in my town today and might stop by and pick up his bird if he gets the message from his wife in time. The only thing about this bird i do not like is its tail is the same length of the wings. A bit cobby, but otherwise looks like a good bird with a good eye ceries around the eye and nice and small. it is definately a hen.

I was trying to guess what family he might have? It is small like Emberton brids and sometimes Jaconnets can have small hens too. I know of others who have small birds but they are mostly in black and check colors and do not have mottles or spangels. It is rec-red with solid white feathers on the wings and a couple white tail feathers.

Rollin fever Pensom took in some strays when he was in England but today you would be better off not taking in lost birds as they could produce a lot of fly aways? Not 100% on that as most dont have good homing instict even if you have them flying for 4 years they can get lost if cought in up draft or fog and such. Any who are you? Bill C

rollin, Its good to get to know people more than just a post name. If the bird was not claimed, soon I would have given it to you. I dont know anything about it and having stray birds in your yard is danerous and I probably would not do it again. Where do you live? Bill C
