Good luck to everyone flying next week. This is my first comp fly, I'm just hoping not to DQ flying in the midday heat. Maybe a cold front will come through.

Thanks Pumkin Man. Whatever happens have fun! Good to see you are competing for the first time and you will always remember your first comp. fly. We had a guy here in Vegas, Leonard Salinas, who on his first comp fly his birds landed at 15 min and 10 seconds. They made time by just 10 seconds and though his score was low you would have thought he won the lottery- he was so happy! That is what it is all about! Being like a kid at Christmas is a great feeling and my approach to flying now that I have learned the hard way not to take competition too serious. Competing in roller is very humbling! Enjoy your next fly! Don M. LVRC

Steve,

I'm in 3A our prelims are next week. I've enjoyed training my birds this year. Preparing for this has been fun and has helped me improve as a flyer in many ways.

Good luck Punkin' Man. Most of all...have a great time with your roller friends. I hope you will be getting out to see some of their birds fly, as well. That's the educational part for us all!
