I'm referring to Wm. H. Pensom's book titled:
===> THE BIRMINGHAM ROLLER PIGEON"
What year was that bird born and who bred that bird?
....also
What line of descendants is that bird noted for?
I know so much... but yet still very, very little.

Marcus the band number on that bird is 25-521, the Crystal Palace Champion. One of Mr Pensom's favorite birds. ---------- Keep em Spinning Joe

Marcus, That bird was bred by Mr Pensom from two Joe Thompson birds. Pensom said that bird was a foundation for most of his strain. The bird was bull-eyed and would spin for 15 yards according to Pensom. He was offered money on occasion for the bird but said "there was not enough money to buy him". Hope this helps. ---------- Keep em Spinning Joe

Cystal Palace Champion ehh....
I guess Ray Sanchez would know something about that bird.
QUESTION: Was that bird born in 1925?

Marcus,
The following is an extract from an article by Don Hearn, printed in the September 1981 issue of the American Pigeon Journal, relating details of some of the birds featured in 'The Birmingham Roller Pigeon'
On the bottom of page 7 is: "N.B.R.C. 36.13 was a cream barred badge hen. It was a quality spinner bred by Bill Pensom. Winner of 12 shows."
Page 68 top: "A yellow badge wing hen W.H.P."
Page 109: "A yellow butted wing badge white ender hen. Bred by Bill Pensom."
