At last I have finished doing my pigeon loft. I have stript the old paint, painted in and out and built two kits inside.
This is what it use to look like.
And this is now.
some pictures of the kits,
The fronts remove as this makes it easyer for me as i have limeted space. Thank you for taking time to look. Yours in roll Harrison H.K.R ROLLER LOFT HULL UK.

Looks like you have made the best of limited space, Harrison. You must not have any varmits around since you are using those wooden dowels. they look great, but are not very practical here in the states with Racoons, Possums, Snakes and the like in the neighborhood. I like the little pigeon statue. Cliff

Harrison, How do your kit birds get along on those perches? I would think they would spend alot of time fighting. Tracey

Harrison, i was thinking the same thing as Tracey, about fighting on straight perches. i realize you don't have much room, and v perches or box perches might not work for you do the the space limitations. also, Cliff brings up an excellent point, dowels, although very pretty to see the birds do little to keep out mice or little sparrows and such. hey, other than that it looks great! its tough love, Harry! your bop problem looks solved, simply turn them to STONE! ---------- Steve in Blue Point, NY

Hi guys. Thank you for your feed back and nice comments. Yes vermin is somthing that I dont have any problems with as there must be 8 diffrent cats prowling the back passage behind my house. I did have issues with cats getting my birds when I first started up but once I realised that it was due to bad management I have not had any problems. So you could say that the cats have become some what of a help to me. I did think all these things througth before I put the dowles in and also howe easy it is for robbers to simpley snap them off and climb in. So I have a sensor alarm above my kits facing outwards so if anyone walks past my shed or peeps there faces at the widows the alarm goes off. The birds are not in the sensors radies so its not possible for them to activate it. You can just see it above the top kit screwd onto the beam. Also cats dont activate it aswell. So yes i did abit of thinking along the way. I still will be putting some kind of shuters up on the inside as when the cold weather kicks in the birds will need some protection against it. As for the perches it does seem to look that some culprits have taken charge of them so I need to change that around. I may simpley run 2 or 3 lats over the top of the wire so they can roost on them. I will see if the pet store can get some of them plastic v perches also as I should beable to fit 20 along the back and sides? As for the BOP well I havent seen any around for about 6 weeks now so touch wood on that. I have got it quiet easy back here for Vermin,BOP,cats ect.. but still worry about them. Well guys thank you once again for your comments and I have enjoyed answering the questions you put to me.GREAT. Keep um rolling and have fun. Yours in roll Harison H.K.R ROLLER LOFT HULL UK.

Harrison, I like the look of the dowels. If you ever run into issues with vermin or the cats, just nail up some wire on the inside of the loft against the dowels. Tracey

Harry, Nice job! I like the rustic siding and the yard decorations. I have one side of my kit with a bar perch and so far no problems they don't seem to fight any more then with other style of perch. If you look at the wild pigeons they sit side by side along a wire without fighting. I tried this to see if they would kit tighter because of being in closer proximity to each other. The B.O.P. have disrupted my kits to the point of locking them down for an extended amount of time, so I'm not sure if my experiment is working or not.:) Nice box though! Take care, Harry the cool! :) Thom
