Seriously though - good job Paul - what a relief it is to have you organizing this stuff.

Good luck guys! Hey Crider, at what age do these Kiser/Borges birds usually come in? Do you remember when these convention auction birds were hatched? The are all flying & kitting well. One I had to cull....he became a chronic tree-sitter....man I like the type on that little recessive red...she's ideal...now if she will just to the job in the air!

Hi Cliff, If you were not so far away I would replace the tree sitter. Lets see if you end up liking them and maybe in the future? They come into the roll from 5 months to 1 year flying time. I prefer the late developers myself but they produce early and late rollers, like most families.

I would say they were a month old or close to that at the convention. I do not keep track of when they hatch but when I pull them from the nest. I breed most in indevidual cages and I write the month I pull them and put them in the kit box for training. That way I know how long they have flown in the first year. I do recomend patience with them. Nothing in my A team is ever a yearling that came into the roll the first year. I have them but they are not what I want for an A team. Keep them safe from BOP and I'm sure they will do well for you. I lock up for late fall and winter and they come right back on track with a couple days flying again.

I have not been on here for at least two weeks and thought I would catch up on some reading tonight and take a break from cleaning and painting and fixing up the place since my wife moved out. I just dont have enough hours in the day. See ya later! Bill C

Thanks for the info, Bill. So when were these birds pulled for the kit box.....at the convention in June? For my family of birds, I haven't seen anything coming in after 12 months that hasn't already shown me something. But I will be more patient with yours, don't worry. Good luck with fixing up your place....sounds like a good way to channel your post-divorce frustrations! There IS life after divorce, my friend. Take care!

a oldtimer once told me ' if someone tells you that the Birds they sold you dont start to roll until they are in thier second year of Flying ,they are hoping you fly off ( overfly ) the birds or the Hawk eat them up"

I got a lough out of that .

I will post all the scores tomorrow....

Joe Urbon has the Score Book....

Friday...Kham had the highest score of the day.....

Saturday.....Bill Crider is in the lead with about 120 pts.....Then Dwight wallace in the 80's I think....and then Larry Ellis is in third in the 60's and myself in the 40's.........

Bill's kit looked real good....all the kits flew fast and darty for some reason....could be the weather change.....bill had some nice breaks....no out birds and they worked the whole time.....just a little fast...again...all the kits flew on the fast side..

Dwight....looked good...but they flew a little fast...had some nice spinners.......no problem with kitting......just flew a little fast like the rest of us!!

Larry....had some REAL REAL nice fast birds....had some out birds that killed him....and the team work but man..he had some fast birds.....He had some real smokers...

Me....had a bird bump on release...pulled from the kit at about the three minute mark......a Lavender rolled deep close to the out bird..team went up.....the two birds stayed down...the rest of the team was working but no points to be scored....DAMN IT!! LOL>>>

But I got a 1.5Q and 1.6D.......maybe Joe can talk about all the kits if he gets online tonight....

Mookie...had some good potential....Darrel Pearson had lost so many birds to hawks....had some hard luck.....Xouchi too had some hard luck....Steve Bills had some out birds...I dont know what he scored but he had some nice birds in the kit......

Big Willie...has got the roll but his birds love the freeway and stay down low.....just a matter of time for Big Will..

Tomorrow is all the second kits...flying..

This is just what I can remember...I do talk to much..so I spent alot of time talking...
