Hello, what you guys use to measure barometric pressure. Is there any website that will give data by entering zip code? How it effects fly time?
Thanks, -Rauf

Hi Rauf, I have a barometer on the side of my loft with a thermometer. I don't think the pressure affects the fly time but, It will let them fly to high if the pressure is above 30 and rising. Especially if they are strong. Many overflys are when it is on the upward rise. Later Steve S.

Hello Steve, I heard if the Barometric Pressure is low and falling down birds would not fly(just circle round couple of minutes and land). Did not remember the source from where I hear or read
Thank you, -Rauf

This is something to think about, I've actally lost kits when the pressure goes up. at first i didn't understand it but when i talk to dick stephen about it he told me about the barometric pressure and to be very careful when i fly. now when i watch eye witness news i check the pressure :) rollers don't have great navigational skills the pressure decreases that skill and you can lose your birds.

Tony...I tried to download the site you recommended but, my puter advised me not to. It mentioned that their were spywear & adwear warnings. The WeatherBug that CSRA uses works out just fine. I've been trying to get a handel on that barometer thing for some time now. I think I finally fot it. Thanks Guys ---------- Fly High and Roll On Paul

I have been using weather underground. It will allow you to hook up with the nearest weather station to your property. I have one about a block from my house. It also sells weather stations that you can put on your property and broadcast the weather from your place.

A W/C winner once told me the high/quickly rising barometer/no wind,is a disaster in disquise for your rollers.Where there is no wind in your area and a high baro,it can be like an upside down funnel of calm air,the birds will fly high and when they get to the top of the funnel, all of a sudden there can be a wicked wind they will get caught in and,,,,,,,ADIOS.Ghandi. ---------- Kel.
