does anybody fly their breeders out again after they get replaced by other birds? are your breeders mostly young or old birds??

I don't fly breeders, I breed them. If I am gonna have a bird put away for breeding, it is for a reason (it has qualities that I want my family to resemble). If it gets a chance to fly, a BOP may take it and bye bye master plan (for that strain member anyway and it's back to the drawing board). Just my thoughts.

It depends on age and production ....If I have a KIT BIRD that is better than the breeder that I am replacing it with. It must produce better birds also , so I will wait till I test its young before I will fly that breeder bird.

yea that is what i mean, if there is a bird that can repleace it and of course have better qualities n so on would you fly that breeder. j/w
